Not a thing
Place was filthy. Room was disgusting, firealarm was covered with painters tape. Fridge didn't work bathtub didn't drain air was subpar and the swimming pool wasn't working. Two rooms at 118 per night, we should've slept in our uhaul
Very closer to church service
Renovating
Worst Marriott experience ever. The website doesn’t tell not tell you that: hotel is under renovation, pool has been torn out more than a year ago, outdated rooms are not clean, breakfast is not good at all, drain gnats in sink, or that tub/shower drains super slow. Much closer to a Motel6 stay than the Marriott experience that I’ve come to know.
Location
Property was under construction. Website listed pool and hot tub and did not have either.
First room smelled like a wet dog.
No hand soap in bathroom. Did not have a hand dispenser on wall and staff said they do not order prepackaged items anymore and told me to use the body wash that was on the wall in the bathtub.
I asked twice about the pool with no response. We chose the hotel because of the pool. Had my 14 year old grandson and was very disappointed
Good location and plenty of choices for eats and shopping
Never stay here again. $224.00 per night! Thought it would be clean and kept up.
Only thing kept up were the photos on the website.
Beware!
Yes, the hotel is dated, but the awesome staff more than makes up for that. We've been staying here for over 14 years for a specific event. Last year was just awful-the room, the breakfast, the cleanliness, no where to plug in devices. We were quite pleased this trip, from the moment we walked into the lobby/breakfast area. Freshly painted and new lighting. We did stay in room 213 and it was spotless...I had my doubts after reading another review. The new owners were in the lobby as we checked in and were excited to hear our opinions. We definitely look forward to seeing more updates next year!
Would stay again
Need to check air filters more often. My ac filters were plugged. I removed, cleaned, and reinstalled them myself. Keeping the filters cleaned will definitely help with longevity of equipment.
I stayed here in June for a few days for a trip to kings island. Easy commute to the park. No issues. Friendly helpful desk staff when my key stopped working mid trip. Pool was fine for my 9 year old to swim/relax some.
Plenty of local restaurants within 5 minutes walk (but have to drive) plus a Kohls if you realize you forgot clothes item. Also grocery store between hotel and park for picking up things.
We are very simple but picky eaters in that we like the basics. Were able to get bagels, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage and what we wanted daily for breakfast without issues.
Biggest issues is as seen in photos. Rooms need some love and tlc. Very dirty grout, behind the door rust and grime, patch paint work not that great. Did it bug us much, nope especially not for the value of the hotel.
To give context to this review, I have over 1400 nights at various Marriott properties with the majority being Fairfield Inns. My stay at this establishment was 07-14-2025 so this review is extremely recent. This property is not only tired and dated, it is also plain dirty and not cared for. I would give it a 1 however the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was plain dirty. The mirrors and glass table of room 213 appeared to be wiped off with a dirty rag, you could still see the dried cloudy wipe marks. There were remains of something from previous guests in the bathroom sink and the shower curtain was ratty. The entire property looks beat up on the inside. As for the outside, again, unkempt. The grass looks overgrown, tree branches stacked in the parking and the place looked like a junk yard. The only redeeming quality of this property was the staff. If I were Marriott, I would be embarrassed to have this property carrying my brand name.
We had a 3 night stay. The hotel and room were clean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable especially the pillows one of the pillows was about 2” inches thick. The staff were very nice. The hot breakfast was ok, if you like Turkey sausages and biscuits and gravy you will love it. They had scrambled eggs everyday and bacon on one day. The pool was cold, but most indoor hotel pools are cold. Overall good stay and would come back again.
Staff was very pleasant liked that they let us check in one hour before check in time lots of food establishments near by
Very expensive
The rooms are noticeably outdated, both in decor and overall ambiance, including an unpleasant lingering odor throughout the hotel. The bed comforter was visibly soiled with what appeared to be food and blood stains, which was extremely concerning. The pull-out bed was very uncomfortable, with exposed springs that made it nearly impossible to sleep on without layering several blankets for cushioning.
