I was disappointed because I booked this on behalf of 5 rooms of people. It was not impressive.
Pros:

The front desk people were wonderful. The location was perfect.

Cons:

The rooms were way too small for what we paid. This was meant for a one night stay without any need for comfort. You could hardly walk around the room. I was not impressed with the room for snacks and drinks. No sodas. Hardly any snacks.

Terrible experience — rodent in the room
Cons:

We woke up at 6 a.m. to a rodent in our room on the 12th floor, with our suitcases and belongings open on the floor. We had unknowingly slept **two nights in a room with a rodent**. We immediately left the hotel and had to book another one at our own expense.

What is even more unacceptable is that the hotel refunded **only the night when we discovered the rodent and the night we didn’t use**, but refused to refund the first night — the one we spent completely unaware that a rodent was in our room.

Absolutely unacceptable. A hotel should guarantee basic hygiene and safety. **We would never stay here again.**

Comfortable and clean
Pros:

Good hotel in downtown Vancouver, large clean rooms in north tower with modern bathroom, coffee machine and aircon.
Only real downsides are incredibly slow check in process and an eternal wait for the lifts. Tried to use the stairs instead but they were grim

Safe but unspectacular
Pros:

We arrived quite late, off a flight, at this hotel and were allocated an extremely small room. The hotel was sold out that night so we could understand being put in a small room.
Given that we were attending a conference and staying for 7 nights we did ask the following morning to be moved to a larger room in the same price bracket.
At 4 pm, after 3 contacts with the front desk, we were finally reallocated to a more comfortable space for the remaining 6 nights. Every employee we spoke to was courteous and helpful but it seemed they were being asked to do the impossible. The front desk always had a queue - not enough people for the number of rooms. The housekeeping staff worked very long hours. At 5 pm on the only day we asked for our room to be serviced it hadn't been done, presumably again insufficient people for the size of the task.

The north tower has just 2 elevators and it's not enough. The location is on the edge of the downtown area- turn away from downtown and you're in a district that's got some issues.

This is not a cheap hotel, but we wouldn't choose to return.
