Had a lovely stay, would definitely recommend
Pros:

Really nice room, very clean. Staff were helpful and patient. The pool/spa was lovely. Located next to the tram line is very optimal but otherwise not the best part of town. Great value for money

It was good probably wouldn’t stay there again but the pool and hot tub were great and that’s why we chose to stay there

Cons:

The fan/heater in the room sounded like a jet plane taking off, bedding was thin, parking was $21 a night, sirens all night.

Great location cation charming room
Pros:

The room was nice. Great style and amenities

Cons:

Didn't like the fact I had to park my truck in the alley downtown Calgary with a whole bunch of homeless people around. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't control the heat. The room was extremely hot and there was no way to turn down. The air conditioning was on full and nothing would cool that room.

Avoid this hotel
Pros:

Currently staying at the Sandman - avoid at all costs. I’ve been made to feel like a nuisance and uncomfortable continuing my stay here. Despite putting the card requesting my room to be cleaned before the time each day, there has been an issue with my room not getting cleaned consistently. I have asked if I am doing something wrong as it’s just ridiculous now. I am here for a while longer still and really wish I could move hotels for the remainder of my stay. No one has been apologetic or seemed like they care and I have been made to feel like I am being really difficult.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

This place is ok.
Large rooms which have been refurbished.
Gym is fairly basic, pool is nice. Good bar downstairs. Not a bad location in the city, easy to get around.
