Charming hotel with comfortable lounge, restaurant and piano bar
Delightful staff who are helpful pleasant and engaging
This is an outstanding hotel. It is extremely well managed, with efficient, friendly, and very professional staff. Special thanks to the wonderful young man who served us our morning coffees and gave us a wonderful start to our day, the fabulous front desk staff, and the housekeeping person who found an item I had misplaced, and a charger cord I didn't know I had left behind! Old world charm in its decor; excellent restaurant (Bacchus); spa, marvellous downtown location. I will definitely stay here again!!
Were treated like royalyt Everyone at this hotel went out of their way to see to our comfort and the property itself very uoscale.
Suite 1402 is an exceptional room in an exceptional hotel. The Wedgewood is a beautiful hotel that exudes class and sophistication. It definitely personifies the five C's of the Relais & Châteaux organization, courtesy, charm, character, calm, and cuisine. We stayed in suite 1402, one of the top floor terrace suites with amazing views of the city of Vancouver. It is a beautiful two room suite with a gas fireplace and a delightful, huge soaking tub. The whole staff was amazing but Melvin Ky and his concierge team were truly exceptional and handled dining recommendations, reservations, transportation and every request with grace and style. This is a world class hotel in every way. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Vancouver.
Couple stayed here for a recent weekend getaway. Have stayed before and were so impressed we thought we'd do it again. Sure glad we did. Check in was smooth and efficient. Stayed in a suite with 2 bath/separate bdrm & balcony facing Robson square. Room is spacious, tastefully decorated and has all the amenities one could want. A very comfortable bed and bedding. Towels were nice and plush. I know this might sound a bit strange, but I always judge (to a degree) a hotel on the quality of T paper they use. If you're paying top dollar for a room and they stock it with one ply or some bargain brand, I feel that's a bit telling. Here, they provide quality in everything.
Enjoyed breakfast at Bacchus each morning. Menu has really all the options and the food was excellent. Service was beyond excellent. Most importantly, coffee and tea were HOT. A little thing I know, but important.
Do know that Robson square across the street can be a bit noisy on Saturday afternoons. Absolutely no reflection on the hotel whatsoever and the noise is relatively short lived (over by 6 PM)
I know there are lots of 5-star hotels in Vancouver and I've stayed at most. Here at Wedgewood there is a quiet, not overstated, elegance and sophistication in the property and the staff. They are not stuffy or pretentious. They provide top level service at every encounter and interaction and are genuinely pleased you've chosen to stay with them. They are proud of their property and for good reason.
Will certainly be staying with them again and again...
We spent three relaxing nights at this charming boutique on our way to Asia having had a nice but rather chaotic visit with the families in the east coast. Didn’t have fabulous weather which was not expected anyway but had a wonderful time walking around nevertheless. The location is highly convenient right at the heart of the city. The staff is welcoming, warm, friendly and efficient. We had so much help from David, Antoine, Melvin and Ryan that made our stopover such a delightful experience. Also, each morning when we went to breakfast, Raymond was there with a huge smile to give us a great start of the day. The staff are really the gem of this place.
There was one thing I would like to point out, however. There was a small sign by the nespresso machine that says that the three cubes of coffee are complimentary but if more are required, the hotel can provide them with a charge (I forgot how much 2 or 5 dollars per cube). The amount is minimal but somehow it leaves a sour taste. I would expect it won’t affect majority of the guests (us included). But it’s not the amount that mattered, it’s the overall feel. I just think it would be a pity if a guest should feel a bit “cheap” having seen this sign at this really wonderful place.
Welcome home - everyone, from the owner to the chamber maid, greeted us like old friends as we celebrated our annual town weekend.
Superb in every way. Thank you!
We always stay at the Wedgewood Hotel and Spa when we travel to Vancouver. It’s centrally located in the heart of downtown Vancouver; shops, restaurants, museums, parks, the waterfront and train/bus stops are all within easy walking distance. Rogers Arena and the football stadium are within walking distance as well.
Downtown Vancouver is a busy place, but you feel the peaceful quietude of the hotel as soon as you walk into the lobby. The hotel’s lobby and common spaces have an elegant European charm and warm atmosphere. The Bacchus Restaurant is Michelin-Recommended and has a beautiful Italian-inspired decor and artwork. The rooms are lovely and spotless, just as one would expect from a hotel with a great reputation.
The staff is attentive and friendly and experienced. You’ll see the same faces if you come back year after year, which itself is an indication of a well-run hotel and a happy staff. Denis (valet) merits a special shout-out for service, as does everyone at the front desk.
Amazing stay in Vancouver enjoying the comfort of the hotel, 5 star service and amazing Bacchus restaurant. Family brunch was wonderful!
A wonderful respite in the middle of a busy life. Perfect service, lovely restaurant. We couldn’t have been more pleased
This hotel was luxurious. The staff is very professional and kind. Ryan in particular at the desk, and Kirby, the doorman, made us feel welcomed, cared for. The staff over anticipates your needs and is incredibly polite. Staff had good recommendations on places to walk to grab a bite, but the restaurant inside was also delicious. Everything was affordable for a 5 star hotel. The steam room was an important touch for us and we got an early morning steam in before the spa opened. The steam room is 24 hours, first come first serve. Our room also had a patio and I had room service coffee with oat milk watching the sunrise. We woke around 5:30 because of a very loud family up early in the room above us running around. That is no ones fault, however. The stay was very quiet otherwise. Staying here was a very memorable experience. I highly recommend a January visit to take advantage of the lower room cost and more specialized attention from staff.
Incredible experience at the Wedgewood!! The spa was one of the best experiences and the staff throughout the hotel were the nicest people. This is our favourite hotel for overall experience and location!!
We spent two nights at the Wedgewood Hotel over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and it was the perfect home base for our holiday in Vancouver.
The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone we encountered was genuinely helpful and friendly, creating that warm hospitality you hope for during the holidays. The valets were particularly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed with our car and luggage without any hassle.
Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed – comfortable, well-designed, and exactly what we wanted after full days exploring the city. The downtown location was ideal, allowing us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Being right in the heart of the city made our Vancouver experience that much more enjoyable.
We also treated ourselves to a couples massage at the hotel spa, and the masseuses were excellent. It was the perfect way to relax during our holiday getaway.
The Wedgewood delivered on all fronts – exceptional service, a prime location, and thoughtful amenities. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Christmas in Vancouver. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a boutique hotel experience with genuine hospitality.
A fantastic experience staying at Wedgewood Hotel & Spa on Dec.27,2025.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and supported by truly outstanding staff from the Valley parking, and the front desk ( Christina and Ryan), to an amazing delicious dinner party. We and our guests felt well taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Enjoyed New Years Eve dinner in Bacchus restaurant and then spent the evening in the hotel. The lobby is beautifully decorated at all times but during the holidays it becomes magical. Service from the moment the doorman opens your car door is excellent. The food is exquisite especially on such a busy evening like New Years Eve. It was a lovely stay and couldn't recommend it more. It's the best place to stay when visiting Vancouver.
My beloved husband passed away in May and I was looking for a getaway from feeling his absence this first Christmas without him so my step-daughter and I booked a room for two nights at the Wedgewood Hotel. Our stay couldn't have been more pleasant -- the entry decor was lovely as was our suite, the staff gracious and very helpful, the Bauchus Restaurant served delicious meals. The hotel is nicely situated for access to art museums, shopping and we felt our stay was not at all extravagant.
We loved our stay at Wedgewood, it has such a cozy vibe and the service was incredible. Ryan at the front desk was especially helpful in securing us last-minute dinner reservations and was very accommodating. Haans at breakfast was so great and we loved the restaurant!
Beautiful hotel - restaurant is nice and all the staff, especially the concierge who helped me check in and book my spa appointment, Ryan.
We spent a magical Christmas at the Wedgewood. The kind you read about and savour as part of the old European world of elegance and attention to detail.
The experience is special from the moment the Valet and Doormen meet you at the entrance, gather your luggage and you enter the breathtaking lobby.
The staff are wonderful pleasant and genuinely care that you have everything you need.
Every single one of them!
The entire setting from the restaurant, lounge to the rooms are elegant , soft furnishings and so comfortable.
The lounge is lovely, the restaurant beautiful, piano and all .
Food is creative and the quality is excellent.
If you love old world charm with modern amenities give this serious consideration.
We’ll be back for certain.
Oh —-and they also allow dogs and the rooms are as elegant as any other.
We rolled up to Valet & were immediately greeted & welcomed like old friends arriving home from a trip around the world. Checkin was quick, pleasant & effortless. All staff were pleasant & professional. The lobby, restaurant+lounge, amenities & guest rooms (suites) were elegant, fresh, warm & welcoming. We highly recommend staying at the Wedgewood - it’s a gem (not hidden from us)… Check it out - you won’t be disappointed…
