Bathtub could have been cleaned, it was alright

We heard running water going through the pipes in the wall for hours. The room was hot, but outside was to cool for the ac to kick on. Door in bathroom was dirty and needed a good scrubbing. No place to set your luggage on except in the floor.
The room was nice and clean, however there was a strong chemical smell from the cleaners left behind which took some getting used to. The breakfast was good for the price, my only suggestion would be to add some fruit variety such as oranges or bananas.
The laundry facilities were a bit strange to use and didn't seem to work immediately when i tried to use them.
Friendly staff, large room, fairly quiet, clean and overall comfortable.
The bathroom was very small, the shower had no shelves or ledges to put your shampoo, conditioner etc so you had to put everything on the floor of the shower and it was super slippery with no hand rails.

Dirty. Doors didn’t close right. Bad location. I did not feel safe at the hotel and I checked out within an hour of checking in and did not receive a refund. Traveling alone as a woman I felt in danger.
We stay at LaQuinta hotels all the time and this was the absolute worst. Our room was located by the dumpster so we had a view of soiled mattresses that were thrown away and a toilet sitting beside the other trash. The hotel had a lot of rooms and a tiny breakfast room so we didn't eat there. The room looked like it had been remodeled but wasn't quite done. We both slept ok although we did hear traffic noise. The only positive was the desk clerk was super nice and thanked us for staying at the hotel when we checked out.
