There for IU graduation and they had ice cream and roses for guests and graduates. A very nice touch!

This hotel’s greatest strength is “its staff”! Always, greeted with a warm welcome, always helpful, always willing to go that extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. Big shout out to Darren, Who’s a fountain of local knowledge , and always happy to help…

I always stay when in town and overall like the hotel and the staff. It’s century, located and easy to get in and out of.

My stay at Hampton Inn, Bloomington was extremely valuable, not only due to the location, but because of a particularly staff member - Michael! His demeanor was calm and he was extremely attentive. If you're looking for a great location near campus with friendly staff - go ask for Michael!

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property was absolutely filthy and there was visible mildew and mold throughout, including in the vents. The walls were dirty, the bathrooms were disgusting, and there was chipped paint and signs of neglect everywhere. It felt completely unsanitary and poorly maintained.

The smell was overwhelming. There was a strong, musty, moldy odor that actually gave me a migraine, and it was obvious they were trying to cover it up with heavy amounts of Fabuloso, which only made it worse.

To make matters worse, the general manager, Tiffany, was extremely unprofessional. When I tried to address my concerns, she was dismissive and actually hung up on me. I was told by Helen and honor that the manager had authority to refund me and if my experience is so unsatisfactory, she most likely will, but she didn’t. She had a power trip . After speaking with multiple other guests (at least 10), I realized this wasn’t an isolated experience many people had similar complaints about both the conditions and the way management handles issues.

I later found out the hotel is operated through a third party, which honestly explains a lot about the lack of accountability and poor standards. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.

The environment was great, awesome stay. Dave was great and extremely helpful. We will be coming back.

Stayed on a Friday night leading into a college visit at IU on Saturday. Woke up Saturday morning and my car was towed. APparently this is the con they run with the local tow company. If you forget to put in your parking pass, they tow your car, and it's $300 to get it back. They don't take any record of your car at check in to prevent this from happening. Plus the rooms smell like mildew.

We ended up in Bloomington on our way to Knoxville. We have had consistent luck with Hampton’s so stopped and we were in luc- they still had a room! Room was nice, clean and quiet. They gave us a parking permit at check in and there were very clear signs all over the building, doors and parking lot — even on ice machine- to make sure you had it hanging or else you would get towed. The hotel is 4 blocks from the football stadium, so undoubtedly they get folks trying to park and hit a game. Darren was our front desk employee and he was fun, kind, efficient! Shout out!

Fantastic service, Darin was the most helpful and friendly front desk person attending to our needs and the breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, will definitely be back when we are in town

The staff are friendly and responsive but this property is past its prime. It definitely is ready for renovation. Shower stall had moldy grout, cracked tiles, and a clogged toilet upon arrival. To further compound the negative experience, we didn’t have hot water for two days of our stay. I reported the issue and was assured that maintenance was working on it but cold showers aren’t a recipe for a pleasant stay. Again, staff are friendly and responsive but there are better choices to be had in Bloomington from a facility standpoint. For anyone in a wheelchair, be forewarned that the main eating area has a couple of stairs leading down to it and is definitely not accessible.

I arrived 4-5 hours earlier than anticipated, and Shay at the front desk opened up the room for me and got me settled anyways! Excellent front desk service and an excellent stay. Thank you Shay and Team!

Professional and courteous service by the young man at check-in. Warm and courteous service in the morning provided by Dave and the kitchen staff. Very clean and comfortable. Dog friendly. I highly recommend.

Courtnay, did an excellent job cleaning the room before my arrival! Nice to walk into a room that smells clean and looks clean. I stay in several hotels and they are not to my standards. This one is!
