Schönes Zimmer am Rande einer Baustelle
Pros:

Schönes Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon. Tolle Lage, sofort im Zentrum. Lokale zu Fuß in der Umgebung erreichbar.

Cons:

Would choose elsewhere in the future due to lack of dining option.
Pros:

Location and price. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Check in and out were straight forward.

Cons:

The breakfast is minimal/not a lot of choice. No cooked options. We have stayed previously and there were more options. Would hardly call it a buffet breakfast now, more a continental breakfast. No evening dinning either. Barely more than a ‘motel’ now.

Pros:

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. While this hotel is certainly not modern or newly renovated, that is precisely what made it so charming. Arriving to a clean, warm and comfortable room felt like stepping back into the golden era of the 1980s and 1990s. The décor and furnishings have an unmistakable character and nostalgia that I genuinely loved.

For a building of its age, everything was exceptionally well maintained and in great condition. The room had a wonderful sense of warmth and authenticity that many modern hotels simply cannot replicate.

The bedding deserves a special mention. It was, without question, the most comfortable bed I have slept in, and we have stayed at more than 14 different places along the South Coast of New Zealand. I genuinely did not want to get out of bed!

The staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive, and the continental breakfast was excellent. Overall, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, comfort and nostalgic character of this hotel. It was a delightful experience and one I will remember fondly.

I would definitely stay here again. If you appreciate character, comfort and a genuine sense of nostalgia, this place is a wonderful find.

Pros:

Breakfast isn't complete; it's just bread and pastries, so while that might seem like an advantage, it isn't.
