Great central location and friendly, helpfull teaml
Pros:

We stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay at the Kingsgate. It's an older building but well maintained. It's located at really handy and quite central, which allowed us to leave the car parked and enjoy the shops, restaurants and sights by foot. The personal at reception (particularly Seena) and the breakfast team were outstanding.

Great central location, allowing us to do shopping, have dinner out, do sightseeing all by foot. The staff both at reception and at the breakfast restaurant are fantastic, friendly and helpful.

Said it all above
Cons:

Very dated I was in Dunedin for a nurology appointment at the hospital I wanted a one stop hotel that had a bar restaurant so with limited mobility I didn’t have to go anywhere, no where on your website or booking.com does it say restaurant and bar closed,
Can’t blame you but I was also led to believe that (Ai) hotel was a flat 600 metre walk to Dunedin Hospital mmmm…. No so in summary over priced hotel limited ammenities location poor.
If your mobility is compromised this is not the hotel for you not sure if a wheelchair would fit in lift single lift.

Pros:

Position close to town

Cons:

Continental breakfast was nothing like Continental.
Tinned fruit. Long life juice. Thin bread for toast. Cereal. Terrible coffee.
Bedroom walls paper thin as we could hear next door and their conversation and tv
