Pros:

Bed was comfy

Cons:

Being accused of using hair dye in the bath and causing a stain. And after stating that I’ve never used hair dye, the staff member persisted with the accusation. They have failed to provide an image of the accused damage via email like they said they would. Very disappointing and would not likely choose to stay here again.

Poor customer service and very bad stay.
Pros:

It’s close to where my conference was.

Cons:

The staff and the service.

I understand that early check in was not available on the day. But I arrived from Auckland, 2hrs before my check in. They were kind enough to let me leave my luggage but unfortunately, I was told to come back before 2 for when the room is ready. I don’t have a plan to go around as I was tired, but felt pushed to leave. Anyway, when I came back, I got the key to my room without any instructions. No wifi details neither breakfast service details. It was very disappointing. On the night, I couldn’t get any source of water but Taniya was kind enough to offer me filtered water. I tried to buy from the vending machine but was stucked and was told that the night person might be able to help. During the night, I didn’t hear anything from them so I just stick with my half bottled water. In addition to that, the walls of the room was very thin that I can hear my neighbour’s room talking for hours on the phone. I couldn’t sleep until almost midnight. And I had conference to attend to early in the morning. The next day, when I came back from my conference, I asked nicely, the man named Dharma about the stucked bottled water and was rudely responded “oh well, I can’t do anything about it”. Like, seriously? It felt like he hates his job. But anyway, I had to order ubereats for my dinner as the restaurant downstairs isn’t working. I was called in my room and told “your ubereats is here. Come and get it” that is extremely poor customer service. Very impolite! It felt so scary to approach that man. Hence, a very bad stay!

Too expensive for what it offers
Pros:

Polite staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed.

Extra $25 per night for parking - charged on arrival.
Dated. Worn. Musty old smell. Carpet bunching.
Lift felt it could break down at any moment - and was out of service at a point during my stay on fifth floor.
Chose it as it specifically said the room had a desk. It did not. I had to work at a small dining table with large soft chair.
Restaurant closed for dinner - offers breakfast and basic room service only. Bar closed permanently.
$30 breakfast was very simple - absolutely would head down to a local cafe for an amazing breakfast (and barista coffee) for under $30!
Fire alarm went off 7:15am - it was not a drill. There was no apology nor explanation given.
Food in the fridge on arrival, from previous guest.
Single glazed windows and thin walls - you can hear everything next door and on the street.
Poor shower - needs new head really.

All of this I could overlook if it was reflected in the price, but it does not. Do not expect a special, modern, city hotel experience.
