staff is great. every one of them. life in the towers is a great experience
I stayed at the Towers at the Kahler Grand Hotel, the concierge floor, for my surgery. I was alone but I did not have to worry because of the amazing concierge staff. They were very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay there again.
Concierge was amazing! Breakfast and amazing dinner included with stay.
Literally across the street from Mayo and Ruth Chris on the first level.
Every trip we make to the Mayo Clinic is pretty much a mulligan of hope and faith, and here we are once again. The days start early and end late. This visit was an exceptionally long one for us filled with appointments, labs, and lumbar punctures. So we chose to stay at The Towers at Kahler Grand because it offers just what we needed in every way. A special and luxurious treat for the both of us. The Towers at the Kahler Grand is top notch and offers the quickest temperature controlled route to Mayo in mere minutes.
We lucked out as our spacious room was on the concierge level. This particular floor met our needs and Shane was quick to get us checked in, turn down the AC, and remind us cocktail hour was about to begin in their parlor room. We met several fellow travelers that were there for the same reasons we were: hope, faith, and answers. We were quick to make friends and toast to better days with top-shelf spirits and notable vineyards bottles of wine.
They offer the kind of care you don’t realize how much you need until you receive it. It reminded me of finding my favorite tee shirt after I thought it was forever lost.
In my personal opinion, the employees at The Towers surpass a level of excellence. Shane, David, Goldie, Ken, Hisham, and others whose names we didn’t catch, all represent the spirit of this hotel.
They greet us by our names, literally go the extra mile to pick up our favorite sandwiches from a nearby deli, and made us feel less like guests and more like friends. Honestly, if I ever thought about opening a hotel, I’d just hire the entire team.
Blake and I have been fortunate to of traveled extensively around the world and stayed in some of the most luxurious hotels. The Towers easily met the warmth and hospitality offered at the others but I call The Towers a wonderland of compassion and comfort during a time when you need it most.
Please don’t miss out on this level of excellence. I never thought I’d say this about medical trips, but I actually look forward to our visits now… because each one feels like a reunion of sorts.
And thanks again Shane for finding the perfect room, the snacks, and so much more. Thank you David for asking about my husband every time we saw each other and helping us manage every day plus the car service pick up help. Thank you Ken and Goldie for making the pick up of the best Cuban sandwiches from City Market happen. And thank you Hisham for just being you.
All of you made this particularly difficult trip so much easier and way more pleasant than we expected. Hope to see you again in October
Had a procedure at Mayo Clinic, called, reservations was smooth. I knew construction was taking place and it was a mess! I drove by ramp, it was full. I drove to front of hotel in the circle where I met Rodney at valet. He helped me park so I could check in. After checking in with the nice gentleman (forgot name, wears glasses, worked around 6pm on 7/30), he was wonderful and helpful with calling valet, Rodney, he helped me with my bag while the other gentleman working with Rodney, (sorry forgot name, he was great) and took my car while Rodney assisted me to my room. He was a ray of sunshine! Every time I saw him that evening or the whole next day throughout my procedure, he was always smiling and saying hello! During my checkout he helped with my luggage and brought my vehicle to me and loaded it. He is such an asset to the hotel and they do not know how much of a shining star they have for an employee to a hotel that sees a lot of sick and sad and crabby patients that come to Mayo!
If you want something a bit extra, The Kahler Grand Hotel have some pretty special employees that will bring a smile to your day, lend a hand, when you need to reach for one, lend an ear, if you have something you need or wonder, make a wrong a right if needed. This is my 3rd stay, and this has been the best by far!
Thank you for a wonderful, safe experience for a single lady!

Good breakfast and Ruth Chris steakhouse on property was great. Very comfortable quiet and clean room. Shane and David were fantastic and hospitable. Easiest access to Mayo Clinic. Loved that it was also a historical hotel.
Great place to stay if going to Mayo. You don’t have to go outside to get to the buildings at Mayo with the subway level. Food is good for 2 meals a day. There’s room service & deliveries from Instacart if needed for groceries or outside food/beverage source. Personalized concierge service is good. Our stay was 10 days - they accommodated our extended stay flawlessly. My only complaint is the room temperature everywhere; it can be stuffy moving place to place. Take a fan to cool off in your room.
We like the concierge services and the private lounge and the amenities that were offered to us.
We had an issue with water pressure in the toilet. We left a message and had to call back 4 hours later when no one re. Toilet worked for a few hours and broke again.
It was also unclear how to check into the towers. We were taken to the desk but told that a separate phone number needed to be called.
The valet assisted with luggage and accepted my tip but then took money from my husband who didn’t know that I already gave a good tip for the amount of work that he did. We were told to move away from the front desk with our full luggage cart. This is where the valet instructed us to be only to be told we were in the way and needed to move our luggage cart away from their front desk. We had to wait for a representative from the towers to come down and bring us upstairs.
Great location next to Mayo Clinic.
Convenient to the Mayo Clinic. It was so nuce to have a place to rest between appointments!
Once again, my wife and I returned to the Mayo Clinic for our annual physical exams.
As usual The Towers at The Kahler provided the feeling of home. New friends to spend time with in the club room remove the solitude of a usual hotel stay.. Our meals were all outstanding and left no desire to venture out. Located across the street from the Clinic, our refuge was available between appointments. These factors make return trips easy. We already anticipate another stay.
Employees were very nice although the reception lady was a little confused. Property needs updating. Mattress was soft. Complimentary food on the concierge level was mediocre at best but the drinks were nice!
The hotel called me the day before check in, wanted me to have cell phone of concierge so that I could call 15 minutes before arrival and that they would be waiting in the main lobby. They were, the front desk couldn’t see my reservation so they weren’t sure I was in the right place, and that’s because they have the main hotel and The Towers which I was in.
The lady finally came, put my luggage on a cart and it fell into a door and damaged it.
Then when I actually needed the concierge it went to voicemail 3 times.
The place is very posh, and I definitely will stay there again. The service was lacking, and maybe it’s because they were focused on the Indonesian royalty that took up a whole floor, and the rest of the guests took second best.
The staff in the luxury lounge was great! They were attentive, and wanted the guests to be well taken care of.
Overall, check in needs help, and maybe don’t call the day before and set the expectations for too notch service if it can’t be followed through on. Again, I would stay again, but for the price it fell a little short.
The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help with anything you need. The lounge is snakes and drinks 24 hrs a day as well as meals. The pool is incredible. Quiet rooms with amazing bathrooms. The hotel connects directly to the Mayo sublevel for easy access. It's luxurious and a real treat. I highly recommend the Towers!
The Kahler Towers is a lovely hotel convenient to Mayo in Rochester. The facilities and staff are excellent. Be sure to take advantage of the lounge!
David the concierge was fantastic. Dropped my car off and picked my car up for me on the street. The TV in the room was old and hard to navigate. The rooms are quite dated, Super hard to get the thermostats to work and the hotel is under construction in the lobby.
The staff at The Towers went above and beyond to make our stay great. The rooms and charming and the location and service are fantastic. David, Shane, Hisham & Ken will make your stay enjoyable, I guarantee it. The lounge on floor 11 is an outstanding amenity.
comfortable convenient
staff was amazing, very helpful and accommidating
Excellent service, the quality of the room and cleanliness is top notch. The food provided is also excellent quality.
Most people you will encounter are here for follow ups at the Mayo Clinic. They are generally very friendly and eager to strike a conversation. This has been a very unique and genuinely pleasant experience.
Met our concierge at check in, answered all questions and made it his purpose to make us feel welcomed!
Concierge lounge was welcoming and warm with an outstanding choice of beverages and snacks we hadn't seen anywhere else we have stayed! Room was very clean and amazingly quiet making us feel right at home. Wide variety of very good food at Breakfast! Amazing stay and suggest to all!!
