Terrible hotel experience, and serious problems with security. Not only was the hotel room sub-par, we had all our luggage and expensive laptop computer STOLEN from us IN FRONT OF THE RECEPTIONISTS. The shady porter guy at the door claimed not to have seen anything. Yeah, rght…
Do not stay here. Major security concerns, and they will claim not to have seen anything.
We placed a police report at the closest police station, and will follow up by taking legal action as well.
Again, so not stay at this hotel. You have been warned.
Ok rooms, facilities and food. Pretty average for 4 star
Is rare to find now days a places that gives you good service at a reasonable prices.
I can't remember when I have stayed in such a horrible place. I almost tripped and hurt myself getting out of the bath because only one side of a support bar/soap dish was attached to the tile. Heard every sound from the surrounding rooms even though the guests there were not really noisy. My heating work but there was no heat in the rooms of my friends who were travelling with me. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Supper was one of the worst meals I have had in any hotel anywhere.
You had what you paid, and definitely doesn't worth the money stay in this hotel. I incurring you spend a bit more and pick any other hotel. The mattress can't be more uncomfortable, poor lining bed, old bathroom towels and the general condition of the hotel is decrepit, and in a very bad condition.
This hotel is easy to reach from Madrid main station on metro line 1 and is a perfect stay for a quiet nights sleep. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. Breakfast is available and has a lot of selection but the only downside is that they don’t have a restaurant that is open for evening meals and considering this is about half an hour from central Madrid this would be a real bonus. There are lots of fast food places by the bus terminus but no restaurants
To say this was a shock to the system is an understatement. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, however... and this si not me being a princess, as i have stayed in many places over the years... so just a few (and my colleague also said the same)
- rooms were musty and smelt - not in a good fresh way
- no bottled water in the rooms
- shower ran from arctic freezing to sun inferno if you ever so slightly touched the lever
- rooms were basic
- bed was plastic and uncomfortable
- CC was awful and noisy
.. the list could go on.. however thus not a 4 star hotel..
even The Hotel itself seems to be shouting into Madrid that it should be a 2 star only... (see pic)
this hotel is stuck in the 1960's.. its not a 4 star Hotel at all.
e.g. no bottled water in the room
shower system that has a mind of its own running arctic cold to sun inferno in a split second
bed is uncomfortable and room smells of 'old' musty'.
I would avoid. Even the Hotel (as per attached photo) it seems is saying it should ONLY be a 2 star and not a 4 star rating !!!!
Cross the street from bus terminal
Very very noisy
Rooms - are clean but your can hear everything through the walls
We were only staying for one night arriving after 23.30.
The room was very comfortable with nice toiletries and the breakfast had a varied selection.
What makes this hotel stand out is how they helped with 2 items I left in the wardrobe.
They answered my enquiry very quickly and advised me to arrange a courier collection.
This I did in a hurry not realising that the next accommodation did not have a facility for the package to be delivered.
I had to rearrange the delivery for another hotel.
This required this helpful reception to package the items, affix the label I e -mailed them and hand it to the courier.
They went above and beyond with all the confusion and provided an excellent service.
Many thanks to this hotel. It may have been only a one night stay but they treated me with great courtesy.
Great location near Charmartin Train Station. Clean and comfortable rooms and very nice staff.
Very convenient from train station & near to metro. Good breakfast clean room. Decor a little dated. Good value though.
Good for the money. Not a great hotel. Very old and the bed uncomfortable.
The staff are amazing in the hotel. We don’t speak Spanish and they gave us their full effort to communicate with us. We asked for suggestions being first time travellers and they gave us brochures and looked activities up for us and the availability. The cleaners came through daily they are amazing. Location is good to walk to lots of local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice staff.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Madrid Chamartin Metro and central railway station - just a few minutes walk.
The room and bathroom was clean and good size, the bed and bed linen were very comfortable, so was sure of a good night sleep. Sadly not so. Extremely noisy. First I thought it was the underground trains, but realized they couldn't be this frequent. Finally realized it was the elevator. The elevator kept going all night. Once I dozed off, I was awaken again. So hardly slept all night. Never again.
Young man on the desk Javier was super lovely, helpful, very informative and spoke great English which was really helpful for us as we had been to France and Morocco and were tired. He helped us to organise our short trip there.
Hotel has good public transport.
Loads of eateries nearby.
Rooms were a good size and had a late check out at 12 noon.
Has a bath, yay....
Breakfast good and do gluten free.
Nice and quiet.
It does look like it's an old hotel. We had to call maintenance because the airconditioning wasnt working, response was fast..but aircon broke down again and had to request for another repair.
Also had a hard time sleeping and being in the room coz the room seemed to have lots of allergens. My allergy acts up whenever i'm in the room and it's gone once i'm out of the room.
The breakfast was not included in the room so we paid 14euros for it..but breakfast buffet selection was good.
Location in front of Metro and Bus station.
Stafg were accommodating and can speak english.
Extremely comfortable hotel, two minutes walk from both a Metro station and a Mercadona supermarket. We were upgraded to a superior room without even asking by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. We would have no hesitation in returning next time we visit Madrid.
