Massive room, superb location, very comfortable beds.
After paying for breakfast, they didn't specify beforehand that its actually off site. One of the bathrooms had a foul smell. It states free parking but had to pay 30 dollars on arrival.
Very friendly staff at front desk. Apartment was very spacious with a big balcony and a great view.
Beds were comfortable with perfect pillows.
A bit dated but still very comfortable.
Great location, amazing value, nice clean and comfy apartment. Kids loved it.
这次的住宿最不满意的就是收銀行卡要多交巴仙,本来这也没什么的.就是他们收多了我六十六元五毛.退回给我只有六十元.是多收我的还要退少钱.
I got a whole lot more than I expected in regard to size and spaces but the apartment needs a refresh. Everything is starting to turn that slight yellow colour like a smokers teeth, and some worn items need fixing or replacing. Having said all that, I would stay again.
Location was amazing.
It was very run down. Stains on the curtains and the couch. Unable to lock the outside doors. One of the bases of the single bed had sunk in. Bathrooms had mould and build up. The plug for the bath was dirty.
Ok
The service was not good as there was only one staff and sometimes there were no one in the front desk. The breakfast offered in another location which ch was not revealed in the website.
Clearing signposting out front of the lobby. I checked in after 7pm and ended up in the wrong neighbouring lobby and had much trouble getting in.
Location is great
The TV didn't work. The key was not available when I checked in, had to wait extended time
Location and comfort
Spa was not working - was not informed. Hallway of room smelled of someone smoking weed
Great spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms and full kitchen. Plenty of room for 4 of us. Very comfortable beds and amazing view of Sydney. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Chatswood with the shopping centre at the front door, heaps of food and shopping options and train station super close.
There was no reception staff when we arrived which made the check in process a little difficult. We got it sorted after multiple phone calls but could have been prevented if staff were available in person. In the room we were only provided with 3 towels despite booking for 4 people. The shower was very temperamental and not easy to get a good temperature.
It was very clean and tidy, and the tv worked well.
Comfortable bed and lounger room.
It had been freshly painted and all you could smell was paint fumes and turps.
It's convenient location access to all amenities
I suggest all rooms furniture white and brown goods checked and get replaced whats damaged and missing
Few rooms i rented few things need looking at
Close to the train station and concourse theatre
Tv wasn't working was
Central to shops
No air con to control and no extra blankets or towels
I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could.
My stay at The Sebel Chatswood was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
The first issue started at around 9:36 pm when I called reception to report what appeared to be bug bites all over another guest staying in my room after sleeping on the sofa bed. I was told someone would organise another room and call me back within 30 minutes. That call never came. No follow-up, no apology, no alternative room.
The second incident was far more disturbing.
For hours we could hear a woman on the floor below screaming accompanied by loud banging. It genuinely sounded like someone was in serious danger.
I immediately called reception and explained exactly what I was hearing. I also told them I suffer from PTSD due to previous traumatic experiences involving similar situations and that the screaming was causing me significant distress. I was assured security would investigate and that I would receive an update.
Again, nobody called back.
When the screaming started again, I rang reception for a second time, only to be told there was no security available.
At that point I felt I had no choice but to contact the police myself because I genuinely believed someone’s life could have been at risk. No guest should ever have to do that.
What disappointed me most wasn’t just the bugs or the terrifying incident—it was the complete lack of care, urgency, communication and professionalism from hotel staff. I was promised updates twice and received none. Concerns about another person’s safety, as well as my own wellbeing, were simply ignored.
This experience left everyone in our room frightened, distressed and feeling completely unsafe. If there really had been someone being assaulted, held against their will or experiencing a medical emergency, the lack of response could have had devastating consequences.
