The Normandy Hotel

Definitely will return. The hotel is clean and maintained to a high standard.
The staff are a credit, they are welcoming, helpful and friendly. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are warm. Extremely good value for money.
A special mention to Emma, Hukum, Nailia and Jamie who were particularly helpful.

We were parents of the Castlebay School Pipe Band that stayed alongside the Pipe Band from 6th-9th March 26. This is our second stay as a group and we will be back! Every member of the hotel staff who worked over this weekend were phenomenal. We will always come back and stay here as a school band. We have never felt more welcome. The hotel has such a lovely atmosphere and vibe and the staff were so kind, helpful, professional and so caring and friendly towards the group. Excellent level of service - fantastic rooms and food. You were so kind to our youngsters allowing them to use the pool table and relax in your lovely reception area. Bethany was excellent at handling our booking, Jamie was superb at reception, great restaurant manager but all the other staff were great too. Thanks for a really great weekend. We hope to see you in August for the World Pipe Band Championships. The staff are a credit to this hotel. xxx

Having stayed here many times on a Booked stay park fly deal as its close to airport has restaurant and bar and the staff are friendly and helpful this time unfortunately was a disaster, complaint to management via email was sent still awaiting a reply

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We ended up stopping in the restaurant for a bite to eat and the food was perfectly cooked and very delicious.
Our waitress Emma B was absolutely fantastic, she was always attentive, very polite and was there for anything we needed!
10/10 recommend and if you go to the restaurant, make sure to ask for Emma!

We stay here regularly and have always found the rooms comfortable and the staff courteous and very hrl9ful. The shuttle service to the airport is worth its weight in gold. If I do have a complaint it's that the Menu in the lounge doesn't seem to have changed in years and is a bit limited. A couple of more 'pub' classics should do it. Other than that, definitely can't complain.

We went to a Tribute night on Saturday the 28th of February . The cue at the bar was absolutely ridiculous , not enough staff on . Food was minimal , small plate with chicken on the bone, 3 slices of carrots and lumpy mashed potatoes , cheesecake was ok but very sweet . Two of our friends had to wait 20 minutes for their vegetarian meal as they ran out. Tribute singer was late on and sang for just under an hour . All in all they really need to improve in the bar and food department . To make things worse drinks were only 25mls and far too much mixer and ice in the glass , lemonade was flat on two occasions. It’s just aswell your with good company.

Stayed one night on a Park and a Fly package. Great value for money. Very close to airport. Receptionist on arrival and departure were great
Room had been refurbished, was clean, tidy and had everything needed.
Parking at rear on tarmac.
Transfers to and from airport were spot on, comfortable minibus and great drivers.

Our room was lovely, staff were amazing and so helpful, the entertainment was great and danced the night away. Breakfast was so tasty too, looking forward to my next stay in March

The rooms have been refurbished and are quite spacious. The dinner was delicious and the entertainment was great. The DJ creates a lot of fun too. The breakfast is really good with plenty of choice. My only slight complaint is that there wasn't enough bar staff which meant a bit of a wait for service. Apart from that we had a great night and I would highly recommend the party night at the Normandy Hotel.

Another great night at the Normandy tribute nights are the best. Got a wee room upgrade room was really lovely highly recommend

Excellent service with nice clean comfortable room. A good night's sleep followed by a good selection of breakfast items. Would suggest a luggage storage room which would save clients having to take heavy luggage to room

My husband and I attended The Normandy Hotel on Christmas Day for our Christmas dinner and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, and the staff worked incredibly hard throughout the day.

Special mention to Linzi, the Food and Beverage Manager, who ensured everyone was attended to as quickly as possible despite the pressures of the day. Lewis and Louise on the bar were fantastic, keeping spirits high with festive smiles and friendly conversation while customers queued for drinks. A big shout-out to the serving staff for their positive and friendly attitude, and as always, Ben provided a warm and welcoming service with a smile.

The meal was well presented and enjoyable, with the only small disappointment being the lack of Yorkshire puddings. Overall, a very enjoyable way to spend Christmas Day and we would happily return.

Spent Christmas Day here, booked so late that we could only book for the function suite, which considering was to meet Santa etc, but was a fantastic day.

Staff looked after us well. Linzi looked after us fantastically, food was really good , good atmosphere, quick service. Queues built up a bit later on for food as everyone waited to go at same time, but having being in and settled we had plenty of time to choose the starters, eat them and join a very small queue, so it’s about being wise rather than wait till everyone else goes up!

Was good hotel good breakfast and amazing staff and clean rooms, took a bit to get used to planes going over the hotel but soon forgot they existed

The Normandy is perfectly located, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The room were as you would expect, the TV is huge for a standard room, the one downside was the shower temperature, could be a lot hotter. But all and all we would happily stay again.

We attended the Hogmanay gala ball and stayed overnight ,we have stayed before to attend a tribute night event and it was as expected, very well run , great service, food was excellent ,the entertainment fantastic and just a really excellent experience ,breakfast was very busy and there were obvious hiccups: no tables a available ,one coffee machine out of order but a couple more staff member keeping everything topped up would have solved that .

Haven’t been for a few years and wow what a great surprise, the decor beautiful, the rooms bit small but what a transformation beautiful all the staff were great very helpful and friendly, food was good the lay out in the hall was also a lot better than the last time we went . We had a booking for 8 of us and everyone of us had a great time so yes we will be back . Also bar prices good considering it’s a hotel 😃
