Customer service was great. Cece was helpful and wonderful
Location and comfort
Very rude employees (only meant a couple that were helpful) little on the expensive side to be treated that way
It was great
Close to all the Mardi Gras parades, easy parking and casino
Stayed here for 4 days. It was an awesome room. We booked a city view but we did not get any sort of view. The room was clean and we had clean towels every day. All staff were friendly. The hotel is very big and it’s easy to get lost. I recommend this hotel if you are in the New Orleans area.
Good location and impressive hotel on entry. Bedrooms are traditional and spacious. Out of the 4 nights we stayed our room was only attended once by housekeeping, and this was after making a complaint. In a 4* hotel I would expect daily housekeeping service.
Great place to stay! The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure which you rarely find in hotels. We ordered room service a couple of times and it was surprisingly quick and hot. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the Nola Twist. The only downside that we found was the first night we ordered room service they didn't come pick the tray up for about 24 hours. Which was the case with our floor as you had to dodge trays laying in the hallway to get to the elevator. Housekeeping staff was top notch. The breakfast buffet had quite the variety but the highlight is definitely the bread pudding! However, the first day we had the buffet (which was Sunday) everything was hot but then on Tuesday and Friday when we had the buffet the food was barely warm. All in all it was a good buffet.
The wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Riverside hotel. I forgot it was Mardi Gras when I booked, but we still enjoyed a fantastic weekend.
We live three hours from New Orleans and frequently come for weekend visits. I enjoy using the Hilton Riverside Inn for the location when I want to be near the French Quarter, etc. the hotel is huge and has quite a bit of room for exploring.
I only am giving four stars because our city view was 70% the view of a parking lot/ top of a parking tower. I don’t think a room should be offered as a city view if it is basically a mechanical or non-interesting view.
My only other qualm is that you have to be ready to utilize the bellhops on all occasions (with your tips) because they don’t really let you hold the car at the curbside to be able to unload luggage or for one person to check in while the other stays with the car. They also do not loan out the luggage racks whether you’re coming or going. You are obligated to use a bell hop if you want to use a luggage cart. I don’t mind tipping /but I don’t appreciate being forced to wait in my room for a bellhop if I want to use a cart. Also, I found that 3 of the 8 total hotel employees that I interacted with were a bit brash which also makes me not want to rely on them. My check in host was very sweet though.
Super close to the port and loved you didn’t have to walk outside to get to it
Breakfast was a little pricey but guess that’s what you get for location and town your in
