My experience at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning.

When we arrived, the situation at valet was chaotic and unsafe. Two valet attendants were engaged in a heated argument, and one individual (Jaylyn) became aggressive—threatening to shoot and kill the other employee. This escalated to a physical altercation right in front of our vehicle, which was struck during the incident. My father had just been discharged from the ICU after a serious cardiac event, and my daughter was in the back seat. We were forced to lock ourselves in the car and call the police just to feel safe.

After finally getting inside, I reported the situation along with other guests who witnessed it. Management’s response was dismissive—essentially offering dinner vouchers instead of addressing the severity of what had just occurred.

The following morning, while preparing to leave for the hospital, we found a rolled cigar under the nightstand that smelled strongly of marijuana. As someone who does not tolerate drug exposure—especially with children present—I immediately contacted the front desk. While they removed it, this raised serious concerns about room cleanliness and safety standards.

Between the violent incident at valet, lack of meaningful response from management, and the condition of the room, this stay was unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone expecting a safe, professionally managed environment.

Great location expect to walk a bit from a paid public parking.
Pros:

The location was great. A walking distance from the Park.

Cons:

They do not have free parking and do not do room service every day. They provide room service every 3 days.

It was pleasant, but I expected something a bit better considering the price.

I liked the location, it's close to many things in downtown like Fort Pitt Museum and Duquesne Incline.

Cons:

There were some little problems in the room when I arrived, a little leak inside the toilet and the lamp didn't work.
