Pros:

It was very clean and quiet, loved the location

Cons:

Absolutely minimal amenities in the room I got, no toothbrush, no slippers, you basically get towels, soap/shampoos and toilet paper.

Pros:

Untrained front desk staff in terms with handling and processing my animal. Staff member asked me what medical conditions do I possess and to email her copies of my medical records. In addition, hotel charged me for parking although I possess a California state ADA DISABLED parking Placement Card.

Room and entire dwelling was dusty and poorly upkeeped. Sleep mattress and pillows were worn out, and caused severe neck and back pain as it lacks basic support and comfort.

Management played Symantecs when my concerns were professionally and respectfully brought to their attention. Instead, shift blame, denial, deflect, and dismay all my concerns.

Might be great in the summer, otherwise not
Pros:

I wish I would have known how isolated the resort was from anything else. There is a nice walking trail along the water, but the road noise from I-5 was significant, and you need to drive to get to anything not run by the resort. The pool is great, but it is not heated and so unless you're staying in the summertime, you probably won't use it much. There are a couple of hot tubs, but only one is actually hot, and so it's also sometimes crowded. Last, the resort staff are friendly and professional, but somewhat tone-deaf to compassion or hospitality opportunities when they have guests trying to make the best of rainy and windy weather. They love their $25 fees here: for not returning a towel, for a microwave, per hour of late check out. Would I recommend? Maybe in the summer. No way any other time of year.

Beautiful Resort, Incredible Staff — Highly Recommended!
Pros:

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the San Diego Mission Bay Resort! The property is beautiful, with stunning views, relaxing outdoor areas, and easy access to everything Mission Bay has to offer. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and truly felt like a peaceful getaway.
A special shout‑out to Rosa, the housekeeper who took care of our room. Rosa was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thorough—she made sure everything was perfect and always greeted us with a warm smile. Her kindness really elevated our stay.
The restaurant staff was also fantastic. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and provided exceptional customer service. They were attentive without being intrusive and made our dining experiences relaxing and enjoyable. Great food paired with genuinely great people made each meal memorable.
Overall, this resort delivers a perfect mix of comfort, great service, and coastal charm. Highly recommend!

San Diego Mission Bay Resort - an absolute gem !
Pros:

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We live locally and this was a really nice staycation while work was being done at our house.

The Cove Restaurants menu was exceptional and the food was beyond amazing. (the clam chowder is the best we have ever tasted) The service at The Cove Restaurant was always prompt and our food was served HOT ! ( that’s a good thing!) The Cove bar serves a huge variety of delicious cocktails as well as a really tasty bar menu. This area was a lot of fun and we had fun meeting new friends! There were also several other restaurants available throughout the property that catered to whatever mood I was in!

Jeffrey, the valet went above and beyond to help us settle in. Our room was really nice with an incredible view of the bay and here was a fire pit in front of our room! Outside of our room facing the bay, several chairs, tables as well as Adirondack chairs were set up for a guests total relaxation. Georgina our room attendant was really sweet and kept our room spotless. The grounds are very well maintained and the resort ambiance is very welcoming and relaxing. The pool area is kept spotless and includes a fun children’s pool area that I was tempted to join! The resort also offers a large variety of fun rentals as well. Everything from bikes, canoes, bike carts etc!

The front desk personnel are very nice, extremely gracious and very accommodating. I can’t wait to return soon!

Great Location for Corporate Event - Exceptional Staff and Service
Pros:

Held a multi day sales kickoff event for around 170 international attendees the last week of January, 2026 at Mission Bay Resort. Everyone had a great time (loved escaping the snow and ice elsewhere in the USA) and enjoyed the resort and most of all the dedicated and helpful staff.

Great experience from the initial sales contracting stage with Jen of Noble House Resorts, to the multitudes of rooming updates made by Annie and the front desk team when last min weather delayed travel into California, through the planning stages with the amazing Sally Hanna (conference manager) who worked tirelessly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was right.

I do a lot of events and the banquet team at this resort was some of the best I have worked with in 20 years. Chris, Rafa, Roger, Andy and everyone that we came in contact with provided top tier support and service. Many employees have been at the resort over 15 years. They took initiative to correct things (and they were minimal) and were always available to help. Banquets exceeded expectations.

Food was great, our attendees loved the "Taste of Baja" lunch outdoors at Garden by the Bay.

In house A/V was provided by SNA and they did an excellent job, we had a lot of requirements and they met our needs. Jonathan who managed our A/V was easy to work with and dedicated. Ryan spent three long days managing all our general session A/V and was amazing - no A/V issues at all!

The resort grounds are nice, location is right on the bay, so a bit quieter than downtown San Diego but still very close. Convention rooms were updated and very comfortable. We had all our meals outside in January. Only miss was a need for more property lighting for evening events.

Attendees loved all the open air spaces and we did not have one complaint about a guest room. Housekeeping did a great job. Size of property was manageable and easy to get around. Lot's of different room types available.

I would not hesitate to book a conference at this venue, it was a great option in San Diego. We are hoping to return next year!

Top Tier Service
Pros:

San Diego Mission Bay Resort was a phenomenal host site for our company's annual SKO. With Mission Bay views and stellar staff support, our event was the best SKO yet. Jonathan and Ryan from the A/V team were top-notch with strong attention to detail. They were quick to adjust to last-minute changes on the fly. The entire banquet staff was timely, thoughtful, and deeply attentive to our needs throughout our program.

We would host another event here again, and I would return on my own for a personal trip. Five stars all around for service and atmosphere.

Amazing Service, Thanks to Sally and the Team
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel for a work trip during our SKO, and the experience was excellent. The entire team was incredibly responsive, quick, and accommodating throughout our stay.

A special thank you to Sally - truly the queen 👑. She had a solution for every issue, even when it was unrelated to the hotel. When I needed help a few days later, she was happy to assist right away, always with a great attitude.

This level of service made a busy work trip run smoothly, and I’m very grateful to the team.

Amazing stay!
Pros:

This was such an amazing staff. Sits at the waters edge with amazing views and ambience. The staff was so and polite. The food was great and reasonably priced iced. For sure one of the top stays in San Diego Bay. So much to do here that a wknd is just not enough time to enjoy all that they offer. I can’t wait to go back again and again.

Nice staff and view from my room but very run down hotel.
Pros:

Staff was very nice. View from the room was very nice.

Cons:

The place is very run down and needs a makeover. The video on their website does not show this. Food was only available at their restaurant Covewood and was less than mediocre and overpriced. Resort fee of $40 and parking for $47 means adding almost another $100 to your bill.
