The Desoto Savannah

Location is great, all staff were great, especially Charlie, the valet. Bed was not as comfortable as we were hoping for.

We really enjoyed the hotel and will come again
However we upgraded our room to pool side and the pool was under repair no water yet.
We were not informed if this when we were offered the upgrade.
The front desk did give us a voicher fir breakfast to make up for it but would not change us to a balcony room instead as we requested

Friendly staff and lovely rooms and amenities!

We stayed at the Savannah location. It was nice. The staff was awesome. The room was ok. It was off season so the value was good.

Hotel is in a great spot! Easily walkable to River St. Air conditioning worked great, a must for Savannah. Clean rooms with friendly and attentive staff.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were perfect and food was delicious.

Good experience. Wish my room had a working hair dryer. Also some room literature to help our stay would have been nice…the typical stuff like where to find amenities, how to get on wifi, whether water/cookies in room are complementary…

A Room With Views and spacious. Courteous staff welcomed us; bar staff friendly and congenial; friendly staff saw us off.

It was a lovely hotel over all. Great location. Wish there were more luxuries in the room, such as an extra arm chair, and a small refrigerator.

We went to Savannah for our 10 year anniversary and every staff member we encountered at the desoto was exceptional! I’m not sure what’s wrong with the people who left those bad reviews (most likely elderly entitlement) but the desoto made our anniversary so special.

My husband and I were very disappointed with our stay there. I purposely booked your hotel because of the pool and it was closed and the outside chairs not even set up. I also paid extra for a balcony that you couldn't even sit on. The room was in need of a makeover. Also the price for parking was a bit extreme. We will definitely not be staying there again. This was our 3rd trip to savannah. Our previous hotels were excellent.

The hotel is perfectly located where you can walk to everything. The room was clean, the bed super comfy and the shower pressure was great! As someone who like a cold room the ac was terrific. The staff was so nice but two shout out are needed. Raven at the front desk who helped us with dining suggestions and Charlie F at the valet. Raven was so sweet and helpful, she was patient and just a pleasure to speak with. Charlie was an absolute character who puts a smile on your face. He is what you think of when you imagine southern hospitality!

Valet slow the air didn’t work the shower door was off track no body wash in the bathroom our sheets had holes in it the girls at the front desk act like they didn’t know what they was doing I won’t be back you all need to remodel

Although this was touted as a top rated hotel, it was underwhelming. The hotel was clean and the ambience very nice. The lobby was well appointed, however the room was somewhat disappointing. The hotels bathroom only had a shower liner without a curtain, there wasn’t a refrigerator and no glasses for drinking water in the room as well. I believe for the price these items in the room should be included. The bed was comfortable, & the room was quiet, which was a plus.

Location was excellent and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very worn down with a piece missing from the tub, a piece missing from the floor, nail polish stains on the floor, and a piece missing from the fabric of the desk chair. There was no balcony furniture and the pool was closed. Additionally, the hot water in the shower would intermittently become ice cold and need to be adjusted to regain the hot water again.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay but found the quality of our experience below our expectations for the price.

Beautiful hotel in a great location in a walkable neighborhood with many restaurants and parks.

While my stay itself was pleasant, a serious issue arose after personal belongings went missing from my room.

A paper bag containing artwork and a signed book that I purchased during my stay disappeared. These items are of significant value and cannot be replaced. A formal incident report was filed at the time of discovery. It is my understanding that the items may have been mistakenly discarded, possibly under the assumption that they were trash. Regardless of the cause, the loss remains unresolved and unacceptable.

I was informed that an investigation would be conducted and was specifically instructed to call on Monday, 02/24, for an update. Since that date, I have called daily. Each time, I have either been told that someone would return my call that same day or I have been directed to a voicemail. As of today, 02/27, I have left five voicemails and have not received a single response.

The handling of this matter has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I expect prompt communication and a clear resolution regarding the recovery or reimbursement of my missing property but have yet to even come close to a resolution.

For this reason alone, I do not recommend a stay at the DeSoto.

Perfect historical boutique hotel for a local Georgia state banking conference. It’s my fourth stay and I love it.

Great hotel and staff is even better....they took excellent care of us. Highly recommend!
