The Desoto Savannah

Wow! Great location, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful…..and patient too! We didn’t eat there but did visit the bar a few times, nice vibe and the bartenders were cool. All in all it was a great stay and highly recommend!

This was our first day in Savannah and it was wonderful. I could come back here and stay every year for the rest of our life.There were two gentlemen I met outside, Charlie and Frank. The entire staff was so nice, but these two gentlemen were so polite and so . Shout out to the entire staff. The hotel had everything I could ever need. The amenities were fantastic. It was located within walking distance of most places we wanted to see. You could feel the history. Five stars !!!

The DeSoto Hotel was a great place to stay overall. The property was clean, well-kept, and surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to relax after a full day out. One of the best parts is the location—you can easily walk to just about everything, which made exploring so convenient.

The only downsides were the amenities. The gym and pool are both quite small, so if those are important to you, just keep expectations in check. Also, plan ahead if you want to use the pool—towels tend to run out, so it’s best to grab them early in the day.

Overall, a really solid stay with a great location and comfortable atmosphere.

Hotel is centrally located to great restaurants and shops. Very helpful and friendly staff. Raven went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant experience. The rooms were subpar for the price and cleanliness was a bit lacking. However, the location and accessibility made up for it.

My wife and I just finished a two night stay and loved it. Our room room was spacious and had a great view. The valet/bell staff were great. Everything looks new. If you have not been to Savannah before, most will tell you t stay by the river, but that area is crowded and doesn’t have the best restaurants. The DeSoto is in a much better location to the better restaurants, bars, and to the park. It is also an easy walk to the riverfront. We have been coming to Savannah for Severn years regularly to see our daughter, and this is now my favorite hotel when I combine, location, amenities, and quality of the hotel.

Loved the location, it was clean and well maintained. Great place to relax, eat and have a drink. Great bartenders and all other guest service staff. Would stay here again. Wished the bar outside around the pool was open, but also understand it was still early in the season.

Great hotel. Need some improvements w housekeeping…toilet paper, towel, body wash, hand soap etc…

The DeSoto is where I always stay when I travel from Florida up to family in Virginia. I love the atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for walking around the historic district. I tell everyone to stay there during their travels as well

Beautiful hotel, the room was very nice and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. Front and back porches for outdoor seating, beautiful pool area, bar and breakfast cafe!

Very nice hotel, clean well appointed room . Everyone was very helpful, Howard at the concierge desk, the doormen who greeted us, the bartender and our waitress, Shannon at the in-house restaurant, all such lovely people. Great location, easy to catch the hop on hop off or to walk to all the main attractions

The DeSoto is in a great location! The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the hotel desperately needs LIGHT. It is outdated and dark.

From front desk, to Charlie running valet, tenders at proof and the front of house at 1540. All are very welcoming and friendly.
Charlie F. Is the best and so knowledgeable on Savannah.

We had a great time. Service was great the barista was very nice. The room next to us enjoyed loud TV but the text feature worked. Staff called and requested the volume be lowed a bit.

Our suite was nothing special. All the staff were wonderful!The hotel needs a little TLC. Good location to restaurants.

Room on corner noisy, due to sliding not closing correctly or sealing correctly. Chamber person not cleaned room properly as dirty linen was put on the bed or maybe not even changed, hair dryer missing from room.
Lack of information on how to access facilaties within the hotel. Concierge and valet service very good.
