There was no water ,they offered water bottles at check in when I went down to retrieve them they ran out and the front desk representative said it was a city problem and not hotel problem well if I’m a guest at your hotel does not have access to the water it’s a hotel problem
The hotel is beautiful and centrally located. I stay in Hilton Hotels often for work and pleasure and this one is great! Check in was a breeze thanks to the great staff. Shout out to Theresa Thomas for starting my trip off on a great foot.
My stay at the Capital Hilton was wonderful. Incredible walkability, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Customer service was fantastic across the board. But a woman by the name of Theresa really stood out for going above and beyond. Thank you Theresa and Hilton!

Had an excellent stay at the Capital Hilton. Theresa the Guest Service Agent that assisted me was top notch! My stay was very pleasant and attentive.
I stayed here during the snowstorm for a conference. The hotel is spacious and rooms are very affordable for a 4-star in DC. My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly large for being in the city. But what made it even better was the hotel front desk. With uncertainty for the weather conditions, I had to book two additional days, one at a time. At no point did the staff look irritated like with some hotels, and they went out of their way to keep me in the same room.
After I returned home I realized I left a coat I was gifted behind. I contacted the hotel and was connected with security for help. A HUGE shout out to Security Officer Mary Hyman, who made sure to see the process of sending my coat through, and Officer Brenae Garrett who assisted her. I also want to tahnk Sam Broughton, the receiving coordinator who took the coat over to FedX the following day. I would definitely stay here again!
My room was awesome. Room 457. Theresa Thomas was the guest service agent who was amazing at answering questions and helping me ship some items home.
Really didn’t feel comfortable at this hotel. Apart from the lovely chap on the door, who gave me a hearty welcome each evening, I found d the place generally unfriendly. The room rate included a mandatory extra $30 per day “resort fee” which acted as a pre paid food and beverage charge which meant I felt obliged to eat at the hotel rather than eating with my colleagues who were staying at other hotels. I had to ask 3 times on one evening to have my room serviced, and had to wait for 2 hours in the bar/reception area while this was done. They were unable to provide me with a kettle/water boiler to make myself a cup of hot water or tea in my room (am not a coffee drinker), and the bar was not at all geared up to cater for people with food intolerances. Will certainly avoid this hotel in future visits, and it’s put me off the Hilton chain.
Incredible very hard working staff!! This is our second time coming here for a business get together. And next time we will reserve earlier so we can stay here as all the rooms were sold out when we booked and we had to book next door at the yotel.. (not a fan!) The staff is so incredibly hard working here and accommodating. Despite the cc machine being down they came up with a solution for us to purchase food to a room , but then after we ordered all the machines came back up and they were so excited. They helped our larger group into a private room so we can host some of our colleges from our the country and even roped it off for us. Muhammad and his team are just amazing.

Theresa Thomas at the Capital Hilton is amazing. She was so help and a joy to talk too and the smile she fretted me with was amazing.
Virtual check-in was seamless. Frank, Guest Svc Agent, was a Rockstar and upgraded the room as a courtesy bc we were celebrating a birthday. He also insured an early check-in plus late check-out!!! Frank and the entire staff were so pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Capital Hilton for its prime downtown DC location, ease of parking (valet & street), on-site dining, well appointed suites, and most importantly, reasonably priced rates.
All the staff were great here! Beds comfy. Room clean. Check-in smooth. And it was in a great location for our needs. The restaurant staff were excellent and the food yummy. Two nights in a row we had Haile as our server in the lobby restaurant and he was SUPERB——great vibes and service! He was welcoming and thorough in his explanations of the food and drinks. This level of service makes you want to stay in and not even venture beyond the walls of the hotel.
