I am currently staying at the hotel with my son for a tournament, it’s HORRIBLE! The rooms although clean are incredibly HOT! I went down to the front desk at 3:15pm to let them know and the lady at the front desk stated, “we are currently aware of the issue and we have maintenance checking every room in the hotel trying to fix the issue.” When i returned back around 7:30pm and the sun had set, the room temperature had gone from 74 to 76 degrees! I went back to the front desk and the guy told me, they are working on it. When I asked if I could move to another room, he stated all the rooms in the hotel are warm and that isn’t a building issue. I asked him how long will it take to fix and his response was, we don’t know. As I went back to my room I decided to look at the hotel reviews… for the past 3-4 weeks someone has left a review regarding the temperature in the rooms and the response they received from the front desk. Basically, the hotel doesn’t have an air conditioning system that works and they haven’t done anything to fix it, yet they continue booking rooms for customers and when they complain they lie to them and tell them they are working on it. This is not the case! In addition to this the elevator certification expired in November of 2025 and the other elevator is out of service.
The pool is filthy and the hot tub doesn’t work and apparently this has been the status for month!
If you are planning to stay here, don’t! Find some
I have stayed here before several times. About once every 2 or 3 years. Apparently they just began charging hotel guests for parking. They never did this over the last 20 or so years I have stayed here. So.. while the rate seems good, it doesn't include the $25 per nite fee. A sneaky way to raise their rates without raising their published rates. As I have never paid for this before it was an unpleasant surprise. No notice with my booking. Yes, the $25 fee is there buried on their website if you search for it. Not only is the $25 fee, outrageous IMHO, for a hotel not in a downtown urban area, but you have to scan a QR code to pay a 3rd party instead of just having the hotel put it on your bill. Additionally, as I had a rental car, I had to enter the license plate #. Well I'm in my room, the license plate # is on the key chain but not legible, so I have to go back out to the parking lot to look at the license plate on my rental car. It was a real pain in the butt. When I get in after a flight & drive in Atlanta traffic, I just want to check in and relax. Not go thru this. Now when I checked in, I asked for a room NOT close to the elevator. The person at the desk gave me a room and handed me the key & said to take a look and come back if it was not to my liking. Well it was the FIRST room from the elevator. Why did he even have me walk there? Horrid customer service. Maybe he thought that was funny. So when I came back he gave me a room that was the very LAST room down a different hallway. Maybe a "I'll show him" moment for the front desk? The hallway was musty smelling and the sliding glass door in the room was all fogged meaning moisture is getting into the space between the panes of glass. I do not think I will stay here again.
Checked in yesterday. Sign on lobby door said it was inoperable and you had to pull the slider manually to enter. Clerk at desk was apathetic. She indicated that there was a $25 a night charge to park in the barely occupied lot. I objected. She said to forget it, but there were lots of signs that cars would be towed. Took elevator to 6th floor. Elevator made loud noises and we noticed that its certification document had expired 2 1/2 months ago. Clerk said to not worry about it. Had to run water in the room for 15 minutes before it got warm. Could not plug in electric toothbrush charger in bathroom because the box was broken. Could not sleep because the highway noises were loud all night. Checked out two days early the next morning and the front desk clerk’s response to
my issues: “It’s a hotel. What do you expect “
COMFORTABLE BEDS, NICE POOL, GOOD SERVICE
Did not have free breakfast as advertised in the indoor pool was down. Also, they couldn’t find my reservation and blamed it on a new system. I had to wait almost an hour in the lobby tired after my flight. Not a pleasant experience.
I can’t say enough about the kind and caring staff here at the DoubleTree. Stacy was my first point of contact - she went above and beyond to accommodate an early check in for me. She empathized with us so naturally, and I really felt taken care of. Our room was very spacious and clean, and the king sized bed was so comfy that we slept in until 1pm! My next “wow” moment was the next evening; I approached the bar/restaurant and bc it was empty, I asked the man if the kitchen was closed? He was so warm and friendly and offered to fire up the kitchen to make me a pizza. He introduced himself as Brian. I was just blown away at the genuine hospitality. Brian really didn’t have to accommodate me but he did anyway, and in a way that made me feel welcomed. I wanted to make sure I gave these staff a proper shout out for being AMAZING just because. 10/10 will be back to this DoubleTree. Your kindness is so appreciated.
It was fine. The lobby is nice, but the rooms are dated. You can see the paint chipping. The AC units in the room are SO LOUD. You have to close the door to get some sleep. The staff was lovely, and very kind.
Was good
Booked a queen, was given 2 doubles. Building is dated. Not an ideal walk to Braves stadium. Staff was great especially Brian and Staci
Staff was amazing..Jamila and think jamal were wonderful and respectful
Looking forward to my return wasn’t exspecting the outstanding service so was pleasantly surprised & wanted to extend my stay but duty called B right back alright now!
Poor management, electrical issues - the lighting on the whole floor came off. Building inside the room looked old. Pool was not working; it had a leak. Appearance in photos were not same in room.
recently stayed two nights here because it was very close to truist park, room was very clean, bathroom smaller. only complaint is the elevators barely worked & were supper slow. hotel room was a little more dated than most doubletrees i’ve stayed at.
The hotel smells like a Chinese restaurant when you walk in… not sure why? Super weird. Power in room flickered day 1 & 2. The room kept losing power. The AC temperature would drop over night & when you wake up in the morning the bathroom had water on the counter which was coming from the light. The room was nice & would’ve received a better rating had the above not happened.
Outdated. Dirty. Staff not welcoming.
You need more than one shuttle bus to take customers to baseball game.
The only thing good about this hotel was the convenience to Truist Park. I booked a king room with a balcony I got a double room with a view never was told the king rooms were sold out .The toilet constantly ran and there is only one working elevator so that made waiting unbearable I’ll never book this double tree
Close to groceries and restaurants
I arrived at the property without a reservation and was told I should book the reservation online, as it would be cheaper. After I booked online, they asked for a confirmation number. I provided the number and they said they could not look it up that way. After locating my reservation, I was told they did not have the room I booked and they were not sure how I was able to book it online as it was not available. Since the bed was smaller than what I booked, I asked of the room was cheaper and was told no. After check in, I asked if a bellman was available to assist me with bags. The response was that they had a luggage cart I could use. The front desk person walked me out and put 2 bags on the cart and said he had to go back to the desk. After loading my own remaining bags, it was hard to push or turn the cart. All of my bags fell off as I was trying to enter the building as there is a floor depression at the opening doors. The front desk person came and helped me get one bag back on. When I got to the elevators, the wheel got stuck and the cart completely fell over to one side. Thank s time I had the pick up the cart and the luggage. When I finally made it to my room, it was clean and comfortable.
I use this property when I am training new reps. It has a great lobby and work area. It is unfortunate that they provide a printer, but no ink in the cartridge.
