The hostess was so great in communicating as the ferry arrival was going to be late & was unsure of when would arrive to Hotel in evening . He was flexible in accommodating me to a room on the lower floor for our needs ( big thank u)-Room 127 highly recommended! The room was above & beyond expectation …. Clean, modern, & bed was absolutely heavin after a long day of travels. The property includes a room for leisure to watch games on massive big screen TV with comfy lounging, foos ball table & free popcorn. They have a lovely diner just adjacent to Lobby,a Bar/Grill downstairs & liquor store just out front.
If u have pets there is a medical facility just next door with beautiful Hazelnut trees ( at least I think that’s what they were)& ample grass space for pets to stretch & have some relief.
11/10- Will definitely be back soon.
If you’re from out of town look for “ The Vic Hotel & Boutique ” instead of what Booking. com shows u as name. Got a bit lost, but got some great help by stopping to ask locals.
We stayed in a 4th floor suite, with a separate kitchenette and living room with a foldout bed. My wife and I got the bedroom all to ourselves, and having two queen-size beds between the two of us, and the kids were thrilled to be sleeping on the foldout. The extra space on our vacation made the whole thing much easier and less stressful by having separate spaces for all of us. First time we've gotten a suite and it was great!
Splurging for the suite was a lot more expensive, and that was pretty rough on the pocketbook.

It was clean and staff were friendly . But we felt it was very expensive . Maybe breakfast could be included with package.
I would try a different one next time

The bed and the pillows were comfortable
No breakfast was included. And the popcorn wasn’t done everyday like they said.
Games room was great for my teen.
Breakfast open at 8am due to shortage of staff - big letdown
It's a beautiful hotel with nice modern rooms. The bus stop is close by however so I chose to walk in the area. The staff is kind and a few nice cafes and restaurants close by. I normally stay at chains but this opened my eyes to visit independent hotels.
Hotels need more dumbells. I can lift more than 50 lbs. The pull-ups bar could be higher.

The very old hallway carpet was stinky
The game room, location and the bed was comfortable
The bathroom was grose, orange in the tiles and blood in around our bathroom sink area!
Lounge/games area and location, close to lots of places and ammenities. Had a kitchen you could cook in with a full sized fridge. Roomy. Later check out time.
Very cramped bathrooms, no bath tubs in any rooms, no coffee station in lobby
Good location if you want or need to be near Esquimalt or on the Gorge.
Rooms need renovating, particularly for the price. Nothing nearby for dinner except Hecklers which is all burgers.
