We enjoyed the breakfast and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh fruit bowl at check-in and the hot cookies at night.
We were trying to watch the US Open golf championship on NBC, but that station was not available in our room. There was a pet odor in our room and we think it came from either the vacuum cleaner filter or the air conditioning filter. The shower door would not stay closed and the drain was slow.
Conveniently located
Internet was out. No keys to our room. We had to be escorted to our room every time we went out
Location was perfect for our reason being in Gainesville. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection of options. A special shoutout to Jennyann who always took time to have a conversation with us and make us feel more like acquaintances than guests. Staff made eye contact and spoke each contact. All the facilities were clean and the room was carefully cleaned prior to our arrival.

I did not like the coffee.
To be honest I recently stayed (with a tour group) in a Hampton Inn in Savannah, GA and was completed disgusted with the faciility, from staff to appearance. So you can imagine my reluctance to stay in Gainesville, but I'm glad I did.
I can't say I didn't like anything, from the breakfast to the late night cookie snack all was good.

Very convenient location. Check in easy and the desk agents were fantastic! They had one level-2 charger and it was nice to plug in my hybrid car. The breakfast was excellent and the bathroom facilities actually were safe and user friendly. (We stayed in a Hampton Inn in Carbondale, IL that had a bathtub that was slippery and didn't have a level surface to stand on, definitely a fall risk. So this was a nice change here.)
Not a thing. This is how hotels are supposed to be outfitted and run!
The lobby and room were fresh, neat and clean. The employees at the front desk and breakfast buffet were responsive and pleasant.
Our shower did not drain. A 5 min shower resulted in half a tub of water that took 10 min to drain. Given we showered just before bedtime, we didn’t want to change rooms for one night. Also, our first towel in the stack was totally damp but folded.
Bed, especially the pillows were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was nice, water pressure great, gym was good.
Breakfast area could use some rethinking. Open up a wall or change the layout to accommodate people standing around
