After decades as loyal Santa Fe Hilton guests: NEVER again: Unclean rooms; Unkempt linens; Uncooperative staff; Unclean bathrooms; ghastly accommodations= not for us, never again; how sad, as we’ve had great memories there
Great location, comfortable, beautiful hotel.
Housekeeping making a lot of noise in the hallways - woke us up several times. There are guests sleeping at all times and it seemed the mentality was “we are awake so you are awake”
Expensive on site parking. It’s your car park, why not offer it to guests in with the room rate? Instead of rinsing clients.
Charged twice for the room. Computer was doing an upgrade. Big hassle
Location was really good- In the downtown. The room was clean and aesthetic
No FREE parking for guest- You pay $31
A total disaster of a stay, saved only by Wes at the front desk, who was very kind and tried to assist us. However, his help wasn't enough to make up for the miserable, and many other issues .
We moved twice because of stained sheets (first room had multicolored super gross stains; second room had different but equally gross stains). The AC/Heater was broken, the restaurant service was terrible, and the Ortiz Bar food was bad. Great service from B Wes who seemed to work 24/7, , but the hotel itself is failing in every other category. While the location was amazing, I would never stay there again. Too many other choices!
Avoid.
Charging for parking. I've never stayed at any Hotel, ever that charges extra for parking.
Beautiful place, second time in 1 month staying here.
Wife could not sleep very load noise of shower on or something. She's very tired today
The bed was comfortable
The staff never answered the phone at the front desk. There was no staff at the front desk at times to assist with anything. After leaving the hotel I tried to contact the hotel because I left some clothing in the room I could not get anyone on the phone to assist me. I never was able to reach a person via the phone. The elevator was in poor working condition. The furnishings were very worn and tired.
The parking lot was convenient
I didn’t have actual sheets on my bed. Just a comforter.
Location, charming decor.
Elevator was broke so it was quite a hike to our room.
Staff was not overly helpful.
Location was perfect for exploring the historic part of Santa Fe. Rooms were quiet and clean.
Our room was a bit warmer than we prefer. It would have been good if the window opened to let in some fresh air.
I checked into Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza at around 11 PM after a long day of road trip driving. The outdoor temperature that night was 38°F. However, when I entered my room, I found that the AC was completely broken.
I went to the front desk and they switched me to another room, but the AC in the second room was also not working. When I contacted the front desk again, they told me they couldn’t help check or fix the AC and that the only option was to switch rooms again. I was exhausted at that point, so I had no choice but to sleep in the cold room. I woke up multiple times during the night because it was freezing.
The next morning, I tried to shower, but the room was still so cold that it gave me a headache. At checkout, I shared my experience with the front desk, and they gave me a manager’s email and said I could request a refund. I emailed immediately, but I never received any reply.
What upsets me the most is that no one from Hilton management followed up, apologized, or provided any solution. For a brand like Hilton, this level of service is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and will not be staying at Hilton again.
Honestly I respect the grift of the breakfast bait and switch. They lay out the same crappy buffet that every other Hilton offers for free, let you walk up and start eating, and then once you’re halfway done eating a hostess appears to charge you $50. Its a solid little scam!
Oh also the shower literally only has ice cold or scalding hot water
Concierge was pretty chill though
