A wonderful stay but not quite a 5 star hotel anymore.
Pros:

Loved Alisa at reception when we booked in. She was friendly, accommodating and delightful - the Hilton is lucky to have her! The location of the Hilton in the city is fantastic. The view we had from our window was great!

Cons:

The receptionist when leaving was rude and too rushed (like we were an inconvenience). Was not impressed at all with the receptionist who booked us out. Also, my mother who is 86 years old, still reads the paper each day, I understand this is not common to younger staff, however there was no offer to have a paper each morning for my mother to read. Once a upon a time when I was growing up and my parents took me to stay at the Hilton, the staff could not do enough to please the customer. It's the little things that matter. On Good Friday night we were unable to get a snack at the downstairs cafe, so we went across to the Swissotel and had a snack and a drink, I think this is disappointing for a 5-star hotel.

We love, love and we will be back to spend more of our love on each other and to explore Sirius Cove
Pros:

Although our stay was short-lived as my partner and I are so very spontaneous and adventurous. Not for a second did we think we'd be spending a night at the Hilton. We do love to spend money and even more so, treat ourselves to luxuries in life of a different nature. After all we only live once, right. We will definitely be treating ourselves to such luxury yet again sometime soon and hopefully long enough to feel more of the Hilton specials touches. So thank you for have us.

Cons:

If it were ever possible, I wish the clock could have somehow been stopped so we had more time to enjoy the moment, our time together and each other, along with the experiences the Hilton might had in store for a young couple in such love.

very disappointed with duty manager Celine on 14/4/26

Not professional for duty manager Celine to lie.Arrived at about 5.30pm 14/4/26.Have stayed about 12 nights before,always great. Location,service,great. Booked room 4303.Car was Prado mine vehicle with flashing light on top.Too tall for car park we pre booked in hilton.We had just driven 7 hours from home at Narrabri to deliver 7 boxes to a freight company in botany bay and return to Narrabri next day..Asked Ludvic if we could park 1 night in front of hotel.Ludvic a young doorman tried to help.he asked Vic an elder unshaven doorman if I could park 1 night where many others have parked many times at the front area.Vic looked me up and down and had a look of prejudgement and not a good tone saying no.Young Ludvic went inside to ask duty manager if I could park at front.I followed ludvic inside to talk to Celine duty manager.i repeated same question to Celine.She didn't ask how many times ide stayed,just said no.I explained this was the only time I've brought this Prado.i explained we had prebooked the carpark.Celine said it was complementary.Didnt even check how many times we had stayed or if we had prebooked the car park before talking. I said no it wasnt complimentary. .I said we've stayed here many times before and seen cars parked out front here many times and as nobody was parked there,could I please park there tonight.Celine stated nobody ever parks there only tradesmen.She was lieing as I've seen this many times.This upset me.I asked her how long has she been working here?Because It's impossible she is duty manager and never seen this or be aware of it happening.Celine said 2 years and I've never seen this happen.ive never seen Celine before.After asking her do tradesmen drive 4x4 $400k mercedes,transam and porches and park there all night? Celine said no this never happens. I asked her at least 3 or 4 times had she never seen this before? She said no I've never seen this.She knew i knew she was lieing.and was merely showing me whos boss and theres nothing i could do about it.So I told her she was lieing.and left.i was so infuriated.The room didn't have snacks either or minibar.i didn't call to ask as I really didn't want another interaction. Other management need to be made aware or this as it's truly not professional..Celine needs retraining.Young Ludwic was brilliant,he handled the situation perfectly.Didnt need to lie to me.He explained that cars did park there before but it had to stop due to blocking the driveway. Mostly its okay if you were to call before arriving and ask permission.If duty manager Celine did this instead of lieing I would've been fine.i saw Vic later and talked to him.He was most apologetic,so im fine with that.

Could be good but needs better management of the lounge
Pros:

Exec lounge needs much better control as its like a kids playground, really loud and inconsistent enforcement of policy. I got asked to leave as I had leather flip flops on yet kids in here in their pj’s, adults in sliders, singlets ……The lounge is far too small for the size of the hotel. We got a slightly upgraded room as a Diamond but the weakest benefit of our 7 week trip across the AP. I guess this is due to the volume of American Diamond members staying here pre/post cruises. That’s another issue to be aware of. The hotel and lounge in particular gets super busy when a mega cruise ship is in and the volume goes up to 11!

Breakfast in the restaurant is great with a wide variety and daily changes. We met a female waiter in the breakfast from Nepal who was fantastic, sorry we didn’t get your name.

Very careful of the invoice when u check out. They will overcharge you and you have to chase up again and again.

Cons:

Compared with price, not worth. It is just normal conditions as other hotels. Also with the very poor experience with the invoice when checked out. Please very careful of it when u check out.
