I booked mercure hotel arrived in dark, couldn't find it, for it to have changed it's name,

One lift was under construction but was still open to be used, stains on carpet in the room aswell as kettle and hairdryer not working, WiFi was absolutely shocking so do not use this hotel if your on business

Heater in room didn't work. Water came out of shower & tap in spurts. No cap on hand basin tap. Room so tiny 2 people couldn't pass end of bed together. Staff were great, but facilities were terrible.
Lovely reception area and bar,staff were excellent and buffet was delicious.Very central for shops,taxis and train station.

No sound insulation between rooms. Don't really relax hearing voices next door and their toiletting!
Convenient city centre location within walking distance of railway and bus stations. Handy for exploring the city or as a base to travel further afield. One of Glasgow's famous sites - the 'cone head' statue of the Duke of Wellington - is just at the end of the road. Polite and friendly staff. Good breakfast selection.

Friendly and very helpful staff. I arrived early and they let me go to my room and also after I’d left they’ve allowed me to leave my bag whilst I explore. Very kind and attentive service.

The location of the hotel was very central with great access to local bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and informative. Check out was at 11, giving you that extra hour in the morning.
The room was very small in size with little space to move about. The lift looked like it was being held together by tape - it was covered it black tape from head to toe - which was very unnerving. For the price we paid we would have expected a bigger room .
