A great city stay
Pros:

It was amazing place to stay. Staff were helpful and generally good to talk to. Room was fancy and clean. Room service food was great. A great selection of drinks

Time for the GM to do what he's paid to do, delivery of a standard that befits this hotel. Very Poor .

The location and the rate I received was positive, the overall facilities in place would indicate a very good International Hotel, unfortunately the way this hotel is managed delivered a very negative impact. This facility was part of the life blood of Melbourne and should still be so,unfortunately it's lacking severely.

Cons:

The Food and Beverage,including the service, with a single exception is an absolute disgrace, the menu or menus show little or no understanding of pairing food.
I was served a scotch fillet with a béarnaise sauce, over cooked, tough and inedible, as was I noted the table next to, not sure who the exec chef is, just completly incompetent and disgraceful.and sad for a hotel that for 40ish years was always good and always a beautiful place. Was then charged approx $200 for parking, the room was nice despite the whistle of wind through the door all night capped off a very, very disappointing experience.

Cons:

I ordered room service and it was sent cold. I ordered coffee the next morning and it was also sent cold, I had paid extra for a mug and was sent a cup.
I was charged for an item that wasn't even in the room on arrival.
I am still waiting on my $100 hold money.

Comfortable and quiet, close to public transport.
Pros:

Nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Easy to get into the city and Epworth Hospital by tram stop just outside.

Cons:

A deep clean is required, behind bed and other furniture is not clean. Shower was not clean.

My favourite hotel to stay in whilst on work trips in Melbourne.
Pros:

Perfect hotel, well located, clean, comfortable and easy parking. Feels like a home away from home. Bar and coffee bar a good space for working. Easy and lovely walk through the park for CBD meetings.

Would stay again.
Pros:

We were executive level and found the lounge, as good if not better than many we have experienced before.
Staff were delightful.
Breakfast was fine however ordered coffee that took an extended time to arrive - actually followed up as thought if had been missed.

Cons:

Understand it was a football weekend but trying to find the exit in the foyer was somewhat frustrating.
