The charm it still had of older hotels, brass and dark oak. But they are remodeling. The breakfast had waiter service but was a buffet. Excellent service and food! Everyone was so friendly and professional!
Even though there was construction, it was thoroughly marked in clean.
Breakfast didn’t start till 630 but I had to leave by six.
I have stayed here a few times and no issues ever
N/A
They overbooked! Didn't have a room for me.
Did not have.

It was ok. Same as any other place I’ve stayed.
No refrigerator or microwave for room. No trash bag for bathroom.
Location, room, restaurants.
Construction on the 2nd floor level was going on when we arrived.
our room heater was not working properly and to noisy
Location was good for we wanted to visit
No fridgei in room, room and hallways very cold went to pool people playing music on a speaker they were drinking beer they stayed in hot tub for 2hrs so we werent able to get in
Great Property, Great Experience!
All good
They literally put us in a room next to a huge completely broken our window only covered partially with a piece of plywood on a night with temps in the negative. Our room was SO cold I shivered all night. Only was sheets and a thin sheet like cover on the bed. Tried calling front desk but phone in room broken. No friendly greeting or cookie when checked in. Space heater behind front desk exploded started smoking when we were checking out. No available parking in lot if you get there late. No fridge in room. Continental breakfast is an additional $15. I will say the ordered breakfast from the restaurant was good and restaurant waiter was friendly.
Room amenities, pool and Jacuzzi, closer to restaurants
Nice breakfast spread, enjoyed the hot tub and fitness center
Bathroom in the room was a little tight, and parking lot on the side was a little dark (needs more lighting)
We couldn't sleep because of the daily construction noise, even on Saturday morning! Noise went all day every day until 6 PM. We couldn't even catch a break on Saturday morning. We left exhausted.
My wife and I were at the Doubletree during the last week of October, 2025. We were there to attend the Midwest Regional Folk Alliance Convention. Everyone at the convention was up late at night performing and listening to showcases. What we didn't know was that it would be impossible to sleep or nap during the day. The website mentions that there is construction going on. What the website did not mention was that the noise from it would be so loud and so disruptive. We stayed on the first floor. Construction apparently was occurring on the seventh and eight floors, but it sounded like there was an air compressor going on and off right above our heads.
I could not sleep during the days because the construction started at 9:00 AM or earlier and went on until 6:00 PM. Even on Saturday!
I spoke to two desk attendants and later called the sales rep. I simply asked for one night's compensation. All were very polite. All were equally firm in refusing to compensate us for even one day's lost sleep. I explained that a hotel's primary function is to provide guests a place to sleep. They failed miserably at this primary task.
On the website, it says that construction will continue until April, 2026. The workmen told me it might take a year.
If I were you, I would stay far, far away from this hotel until construction is over.
