Awesome staff
Pros:

From John at the door, to Martajia at the front desk, to the vacation ownership rep Junior, and Dan in the restaurant, everyone we met at the Double Tree Suites Austin Downtown Capitol was amazing!!!!

Upon check in, we were greeted courteously, checked in efficiently, and offered information about the hotel and amenities. At the same time I witnessed the staff handling a difficult and unhappy patron with grace, quickly turning a difficult situation into a positive outcome.

Dan in the restaurant gave us helpful information about navigating the surrounding area

And Junior provided us with helpful and honest information about the Hilton vacation ownership program.

I am looking forward to returning for future visits at this Hilton property

Great room in the heart of downtown
Pros:

Lovely hotel in the heart of downtown. Nice room with great size, would work well for families. Recently updated decor. However, my hotel safe did not work! They should have known and I shouldn't have to switch rooms to have a working safe. Inspire of that staying was a positive expereince and I do plan to return again soon.

I will stay there again for sure.
Pros:

the staff!!!!! especially the door guy, he was the most helpful person, the winner. he helped everyone and tried to learn all our names. he made out lives better and everyone happy. the young girl at the counter was sweet and professional. she gave me two warm cookies when i came. there was a guy working there as well. he was nice. people person.

Cons:

the breakfast had greasy sausage and they could have been browned more, no turkey sausage, no biscuits and gravy even, even low class hotels have biscuit and gravy. the bananas refrigerated , not much milk out for cereal, the juices were almost empty at 8am. the scrambled eggs with the ham or turkey bits in there was great, best thing on menu. the $25 price was too high. no paper napkins were out. well there where some cut potatoes that were really good.

Great midtown hotel; championship customer service
Pros:

I don't think we have ever stayed in a Doubletree Suites by Hilton before. Y'all set the bar so high! We had a great conversation and welcome with Gian at the front desk. His positive attitude and demeanor was just what we needed after a long afternoon of traveling. We had a very large room and bedroom! It had a small kitchen with everything we needed and a balcony with a view of the Texas Capitol Building! Everyone we talked from waiters to doormen to housekeeping were so polite. I spent two hours in the morning with my feet in the pool reading. The area around the hotel felt very safe even at night. We will definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

If you drive a truck, GOODLUCK!

Apartment style room with a kitchen!

Cons:

The parking garage is not meant for SUVs or Trucks and there is only about 10 parking spots for SUVs and Trucks in the front for the entire hotel. Compact cars only in the garage..

Awesome Thanksgiving Stay in Austin
Pros:

Best stay in Downtown Austin. Friendly hotel and restaurant staff. Hotel recently renovated and accommodations were superior. Rooms are oversized suites with large bedrooms and bath. Sofa sleeper are in all rooms. Can easily accommodate up to 6 adults. Small kitchen area has microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker along with dishes, utensils etc., although the stove tops and kitchen pots and pans have been removed. Great Thanksgiving stay. You won’t be disappointed.
