We've stayed there many times. Good location.
Room was really showing its age. Door had LOUD squeak. Chair had ugly stains. Shade was cracked. BUT - they started renovations. Wish I knew BEFORE I booked. Not pleasant. Hall Smoke alarm went off at 11:15 pm waking us up.
The Saturday breakfast was very runny eggs, dried out sausage. Sunday was better and more enjoyable. The attendant I will say on Saturday was very pleasant and accommodating.
The floor in the room was not clean to the point when you got in the shower you seen your foot prints. I used a towel to wipe up the floor and it was very dirty. Our first room had a leaky toilet and kept flushing on its on so we ask to be moved.
Great food and service
The location was great - right by the water. Additionally, it is a quick 5 minute drive to historic Georgetown and conveniently located to Pawley’s Island. Being as close to the main road we heard NOTHING our three days there. The breakfast each morning was very tasty and the front desk staff were especially helpful and friendly. The room itself was large and I really like a place to sit other then the bed so chaise chair was appreciated. I also liked the pull out wire drawers in the cabinet. They were great!
Booked for my parents and slept well overall. View was good weather you can’t control. I’m a local and wish price was a little lower bc they were visiting. Of course front street is great.
The price +$300 was steep for a Saturday. Boat show weekend is one thing.

THE BRECKFAST WAS SO GOOD, AND EVCERYONEWAS SO KIND AND HELPFUL. I WOULD RETURN THERE AGAIN.
DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY TH MICROWAVE WAS OF NO USE. IT SAID IT WAS LOCK. THAT WAS STRANGE.
Hot shower!
Room smelled old and mildew, upon walking into the room. One of the lamp shades was broken. One of the bed lights was dying, dim and just not functioning correctly...

The carpets felt wet and dirty. Definitely could use a cleaning or replacing.
Room smelled horrible! When we checked in the room smelled strongly of perfumed deodorizing spray with undertones of something like a wet dirty rug. In the morning the perfume wore off and just left the horrible smell. The rug also looked gross, we made sure to keep shoes on at all times and not touch ot with our feet. The whole room was worn looking. The shelf between the beds looked like it was close to falling of the wall.
Room smelled horrible! When we walked in the scent of perfumy deodorizing spray hit you as soon as the door opened. Once entering, it seemed the smell was mingling with the scent of a nasty wet rug. By morning the perfume had worn off, and we were left with the horrible overwhelming smell. Told the front desk staff at checkout. They asked the room number and then they were like, "Oh yeh.... sorry about that, make sure you leave a review.... " it gave the impression they have heard this many times, and management/ owners won't fix the issue. This was by far our worst Hampton inn stay. We paid $100 more than other local hotels, thinking we knew we could depend on Hampton to be clean
