Good for a few days stop off but not for holiday
Pros:

Staff were very friendly, helpful and overall great people. Location was perfect and close to everything.

Cons:

Needs an upgrade. Damp smell with carpet ripping off. Restaurant is over priced, always empty but understand why - food is average.

Remnants of a beautiful town.
Pros:

We stayed at the Copthorne in Rotorua Feb 26. It was a good location on the outskirts. Nice walk to town. The hotel in/outside is very tired and very much in need of maintenance and a fresh coat of paint etc.

Having said that while walking around, there are a lot of hotels etc on what I would call the golden mile entering Rotorua that need some work or even demolition. Very sad to see.
