Location was great

The capitol hill hotel is any amazing hotel located near the capitol building in dc. The staff is consistnetly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to assist with any needs

The location was good if you want to go to the capitol or that side of the mall. That’s the biggest perk. Other than that, I don’t have much to say about the rooms that is positive. The room overall seemed decrepit and old. It didn’t feel very clean. There were red stains on the carpet and the bathtub was peeling. The beds felt clean at least. The WiFi was incredibly slow and did not seem secure. The TV did not work. We had the “2 queen with a full kitchen” but don’t let “full kitchen” fool you. You could take all of one step forward to get to an old coil electric range, a tiny counter space and small sink and at least a full standing fridge with freezer. The workout facilities were in the other building and you have to walk outside in between. At least the breakfast was in our building. We called front desk to ask for a clock in the room, they said they don’t have. I’ve never stayed at a hotel before that doesn’t have an alarm clock. There was also one very small mirror in the bathroom only. I point this out because I saw another review that made the same comment and the hotel replied that they adjusted and each room got a full length mirror and the bathtubs redone. I want to point out that they clearly forgot the room we stayed in. Overall, we made the most of the experience and it was nice to have a slightly seperate area for eating, but we will not be staying here again or recommending this hotel unless they make significant upgrades.

I always have a wonderful stay at the Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, DC. The hospitality is exceptional, and the kindness of the staff truly stands out. Customer service is top-notch from start to finish, making every visit feel welcoming and stress-free.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and inviting, with thoughtful personal touches that really make a difference. On one stay, the hotel staff even left a handwritten note along with an assortment of edibles, which made me feel genuinely appreciated as a guest.

One of my favorite things about this hotel is the location. The area feels like a real community—almost as if you’re part of the neighborhood rather than just a visitor. I’ve stayed here a total of five times, and I continue to choose this hotel because of the familiarity and convenience. There are great restaurants, stores, charming novelty shops, excellent bookstores, and even an awesome game shop just around the corner.

Every time I stay at the Capitol Hill Hotel, I truly feel at home. It’s my go-to place whenever I’m in DC.

We were there for a Wedding and during a snow storm. The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating - particularly with late check outs and needing to stay an extra night due to last minute flight cancellations. They were just really lovely all around. Rooms were great, hotel clean, breakfast good, etc. I can't think of anything bad to say!

The location. Close to transportation and access to museums. The hotel is like a part of the neighborhood. It doesn't stick out ostentatiously. I was traveling alone but felt very safe. Staff was very friendly.

This is a lovely hotel, great value for it's location. Staff are friendly and gave us some great tips on getting around. Rooms are large and airy. Was a great place to stay for exploring the city museums, the Arlington Cemetery.

Sehr schönes Hotel! Die Zimmer sind gross und komfortabel. Besonders toll fanden wir, dass es den ganzen Tag über kostenlosen Kaffee und Wasser gab. Alles war sauber, und das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Good location. Quick check-in. Room was reasonably spacious and had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Helpful staff. Lounge area had coffee/tea/water 24/7 though lemon/cucumber water tasted horrible.

The location is excellent! I can see the conference center from my room window. Most of the other attendees had to travel across town to attend each day. There are some great restaurants close by and I can walk to the Hart Senate building from my hotel. Certain staff members go out of their way to assist clients, handing out umbrellas, adding an additional night to my stay. very nice people
