Location for us was great as we were going to the ferry the next morning which was only 10 min drive.
We were told we weren’t allowed to park on in the road side public parking. When asked why we were told because « it wasn’t allowed because the hotel gets complaints ». There was also no one at reception at 7am when we left in the am to check out, which is fine but there was no return key box so we left the key on the desk.
We had a big room, obviously redecorated. Bed was comfy. Young receptionists were exceptionally helpful. Value for money +++
Can't fault
When using lift on my own (I have a pacemaker)and there must have been some magnetic or electrical surges as I had a massive dizzy spellr after putting my finger on ground button from fourth floor Couldn't stand up On ground floor lady waiting get in lift starting to abuse me telling me to get out I couldn't stand with out leaning on something so zi attempted to walk to seat opposite and fell over
.she helped me to seat and apopgised After resting came right and walked into town
No other reason for that to happen have put it down to magnetic or electoral surges in lift
The rooms were a generous size. The bed was large and comfortable. The location was good with an easy walk into town and plenty of good eateries close by.
Overall it is maybe a little old fashioned and could do with a tidy up and some new decor.
Fantastic location, as that was the reason for staying here. Room was a good size and had everything I needed. Bed was comfy. Shower was good.
Exactly as expected for the price, a clean, decent space in close proximity to Cuba street and other attractions. Convenient location to drive into, with decent paid parking.
A little worn around the edges. No sound-proofing and some noisy neighbours but not terrible.
Great location
Run down and a bit sad
Good value for money
Sorry -,we are unable to write more at this time.
However, this was our third visit to the Willis and we will be continuing to go there when we are staying in Wellington, for all the reasons we have ticked above.
Diane and Ian Grant, from Masterton.
Left too early for that.
All was good.
Being close to Wellington Zoo and also the ferry terminals.
Comfortable room, there was a bath, beds were very comfortable and plenty of warm blankets. Room setup was good
Our second key card worked at first, but later that night, wouldn't work. Curtain let in too much light in the morning, and was woken up by the light at 7am when hoping to sleep in
Everything
NA
Cheap
Stains on curtains
location was good
the building is not rated for earthquakes, this is only found when you arrive to check in, nothing noted online when booking. The rooms dont look like they do online.
