When I stepped into the shower, it noticeably shifted. I never relaxed.
Pros:

Shuttle was convenient; room curtains were smudged with food fingerprints. The Tub was the worst. Room was dark; light switches didn't work near the bed.

Cons:

My view was a large dumpster right outside my window on first floor. There were people walking around and sleeping in narrow spots. It was clear to me that someone had tried to enter the room at some point through the window ( screen on window was bent quite noticeably where someone tried to gain access. I showed the manager how close I was to public access and she reassured me I was totally safe. Basically I was dismissed. No room change. I told the desk manager I didn't feel safe at all as a lone traveler. She said the policy of the hotel was that all guests with dogs were confined to the first floor and had no other rooms, but to check in at the desk the next morning.

Highway Robbery
Pros:

Highway Robbery. I made a reservation here and thirty minutes later my work schedule changed. I reached out immediately and explained what happened. They said they would ask the manager and I didn’t hear anything back until the day after the reservation when I got a voicemail that said they they were unwilling to waive the cost of the room and they charged me full price for the reservation that was for three days later.
Sorry I had the room reserved for thirty minutes but it doesn’t feel like it should cost me $200. Me and my dad used to always stay here when we made it to town but not anymore.

Extremely helpful staff at the front desk. Thank you Ms. Mary!
Pros:

After a bit of an issue with my house, I needed somewhere to stay for a short period of time. I was fortunate enough to have Ms. Mary working at The Lakefront! She was incredibly accommodating and extremely nice to work with in such a hectic situation. I’m forever grateful that she was there to help in a time of need!

The Lakefront Anchorage is a great first stop in Anchorage!
Pros:

I spent five days at the Lakefront Anchorage as I was volunteering for the Iditarod. I was particularly thankful that one of the first people to welcome me was Mary at the front desk! I came in exhausted from a long day of traveling well past midnight. I was checking in ahead of my other group and there was a lot to manage. She was kind and patient in making sure that everything was set for our long week. For the rest of the week she was my go to and a fantastic help in anything I needed! The Lakefront had everything we needed at the end of our long days, food and drink. Housekeeping was always very kind and responsive. And bonus points for seeing a moose everyday!

Amazing!!!
Pros:

This hotel is amazing! We had such a fun time checking in. Eurina and Matias were awesome, super friendly and welcoming, and they made the whole check in experience really fun. It honestly felt like we were being welcomed by friends instead of just checking into a hotel. They were helpful, had great energy, and made us feel comfortable right away. It’s little moments like that that really start a trip off right. The place looks great and the vibe is really good so far. Big shoutout to Eurina and Matias for making our first impression such a good one. Definitely excited to enjoy the rest of our stay!

Wonderful stay with a welcoming staff and an ambience suited to the Alaskan outdoors.
Pros:

Room was quiet and spacious with drawers, closet, and nightstands. Lots of lighting options--reading lamp, overhead lighting, makeup/vanity lighting. WiFi was great. Staff members were helpful, courteous and friendly. The lobby set the mood for an Alaskan winter. We had one meal in the restaurant with a nice view of the frozen lake and simple, tasty food and beer.

Cons:

The button on the tap that alters water from the showerhead to the faucet was very tight. By the second night, we had to call the desk who arranged for Rolly, hotel maintenance guy, to bring his tools to loosen it for us. Hard water caused the problem and it was quickly fixed, but my husband had to wait 30 minutes to take his shower. Just an inconvenience, but one that could be avoided by having housekeeping check it out when prepping for the next occupants.
