I left a tablet below the sheets when I checked out. Went on a city tour and left my luggage. I remembered it all the afternoon being sure they will keep it up for me. I was wrong. It disappeared

The hotel was comfortable, although the building is quite dated, but everything was kept in good condition. Very friendly and helpful staff. I asked for a change of towels and they brought me plenty of clean ones very quickly. The hairdryer in the room was also excellent. Location very convenient, close to UCSD buildings.
Breakfast could be improved; there wasn't much choice of fresh products like fruit and vegetables. The choice of cooked products (eggs or side dishes) could also be improved.
My stay is not over but had to praise your employee, Isabella, at your La Jolla location on Gilman.
I am here because a family member had cancer surgery at Scripps, La Jolla.
Completely exhausted from spending surgery day at Scripps, Isabella showed as much concern and compassion as people who dearly care for us. Isabella went out of her way to make sure my stay was as worry free as I needed it to be. I wanted flexibility in my length of stay and Isabella was able to make that work, lessening the stress I was experiencing. Each additional encounter was just as pleasant and successful.
An employee with those natural customer service abilities is not easily found and more than difficult to train to that level.
I feel Isabella is a major credit to your organization and with my luck in having her as my Marriott experience has created what your organization has strived to achieve….a lifelong loyalty to Marriott properties. I am committing to having a Marriott property as my first choice in any future trips.

Stayed here for more than two weeks, while the cost here is not less, their service and staff leave a lot to be desired. Especially the managers, they have seriously bad attitude and seem not to realise that they are here for the customers and not vice versa. Wonder if Marriot has changed their policies…
The kitchen staff is an exception, always cheerful and welcoming everyone at breakfast.
Although the breakfast time could be extended to 9.30 am every day from 9 am.
I think the Marriot central leadership should look into this as the managers here seem to be working against the Marriot image.
