Great Patio and Wine
Pros:

First visit outside of airport to Paris. This hotel is off the beaten path and easy to walk past if you are not paying attention. Stayed in a room with a large patio with a table and 4 chairs, great spot to drink a bottle of wine after a long day of walking around to see the sites. Hotel has small number of rooms, which I did not mind at all. The elevator is tiny, pack light! Employees were helpful and breakfast was good. Did not spend much time at the hotel except in the evening on the patio before going to bed. We ate at several restaurants that we found along the way....Snails and French Onion Soup on multiple occasions. Overall good experience.

Maison Astor Paris - gorgeous boutique hotel
Pros:

This is a gorgeous boutique hotel in the 8th arrondissement (8ème), one of the city's most central and prestigious districts. It is close to the major sights in Paris, within a 30-minute walk of most of them, yet on a quiet side street. We felt very safe walking around the streets, both during the day and at night. The reception, bar and hotel décor are immaculate, with plenty of charm. We stayed in a Premium King room, which was a little small, but it was very warm, clean and comfortable, with no street noise. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day, and we couldn't fault their attentiveness. The concierge staff were really helpful, happy to book taxis, make recommendations on where to eat, and book tickets for us - like the Big Bus city tour. We didn't eat in the hotel because we wanted to experience 'real Parisian life', but we loved it for its classic Parisian atmosphere, location and décor.

Business and Family Trip at Maison Astor - Jan2026
Pros:

I stayed at the Maison Astor Paris for 3 nights business trip and then additional 3 nights for a family trip. Overall, it was a GREAT stay, and I would love to stay again. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel A LOT, the hotel location is great, very convenient for both business and family vacation, and what stood out was the exceptional level of support that I was able to get from the hotel team, especially I would like to recognize 3 team members: Aziz, Antonin and Logan, they all did an exceptional job in helping me with my requests whether it was related to my business stay or my private/family stay throughout the weekend, it was super valuable and highly appreciated and I would definitely love to come and stay again at this hotel mostly thank to their great level of service.

Comfortable stay in Paris
Pros:

The hospitality at Maison Astor is upper level. The employees are very eager to help from the moment you walk in the door! My Lifetime Diamond status was recognized in many ways - an upgrade to larger room, early check-in, a bottle of champagne, and great communication from Antonin days before I arrived. Room 317 was a Deluxe King Room and was larger than an average city center hotel, the bathroom was too. The view was internal, so no views of the city, only other rooms in the hotel. There are multiple types of outlets located throughout the room, including both USB-A and USB-C. Don't forget to pack an adaptor for type E or C if you are not from France. The luxurious room had a very comfortable bed, robes and slippers, plenty of closet space and hangers, Nespresso machine, a safe, and a steamer. The building is older, so I did hear any movement that went on above me - steps, vacuuming, toilet flushes. I would absolutely recommend Maison Astor to anyone traveling to Paris.

Maison Astor - Racist Practices & Bias Training Needed
Pros:

I had stayed previously at this property. The location and the breakfast buffet were what made me decide to book another stay. Well, I think this 2nd stay will be my last due to racist practices and money grabs.

I booked this stay at the last minute on New Year’s Day because my passports had been stolen and they had a room that could accommodate three people. As a Hilton Diamond, breakfast is included for two guests. The front desk clerk really pushed the additional 30 euros for the 3rd person to eat breakfast and warned that it would be 35 euros the next day. So, I paid the 30 euros.

The following morning, I woke up at 840am to an email from the US embassy notifying me of a 9am appointment. Due to this appointment, I was unable to enjoy the breakfast. So, there was just one person from my room that ate breakfast. When I returned in the afternoon, I explained this to Elisa at the front desk about my embassy appt and how I didn’t have breakfast. She claimed that the additional 30 euro breakfast charge was non-refundable. She said that under the circumstances, she would speak to her manager on Monday about a courtesy refund. I never heard from her or the hotel. But, I will say that in my conversation with her, she tried to be helpful, understanding and empathetic of my situation.

The second incident is what truly makes the Maison Astor experience such a negative one and that I am unwilling to subject myself to in the future. Clear-cut racism is on full display by the staff there, namely Charles-Henri, the hotel porter.

Beautiful and comfortable historic hotel
Pros:

One of the most enjoyable experiences of our trip to Paris was staying at the beautiful Maison Astor with its comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Located on a quiet street, it is still within walking distance or a short ride from historic sites, restaurants, and shops. We enjoyed several delicious meals at the Club restaurant or through room service. Whatever we ordered came quickly. But the highlight of our stay there was the expansive buffet breakfast which had something for everyone in our large group from crepes and croissants to bacon and eggs.

Excellent Location and facility
Pros:

A wonderful location on a quiet street. You can walk to everything from here. The Junior suites are very large and worth it. A good size bathrooms but the use of the tub for a shower is tight. The staff are very professional and friendly. My only real complaint is that on days 2 and 3 the elevator, which is tiny, kept malfunctioning. A special compliment to the hotel’s food and beverage manager for a wonderful NYE dinner. A real treat for us.

Mid Level at Best
Pros:

This was our first trip ever to Paris and I’d researched a lot of hotels before deciding on this one, because it is part of the Hilton brand and seemed to have a central location. Location wise, it turned out to be a good choice… although the hotel is on a very quiet street, it is a short walk to a major street and two different metro stations.

However, the service from this hotel was not on par with my usual Hilton experience. Other reviews have mentioned being provided with an early check in, so I contacted the hotel in advance of my stay, letting them know my international flight would have me arriving early. We arrived at noon and were told we could not check in, so we waited in the lobby… for three hours before the room was ready. I overheard someone at the front desk checking out late at 1:30pm and that eventually turned out to be our room. It appeared the hotel had decided to accommodate another guest’s request at our expense.

I raised the issue later with the hotel management, how our first day had been a disappointment and didn’t understand why a different room couldn’t have been provided earlier, as several other guests checked in well before 3:00 pm. I received a limited explanation as to why we had to wait, but no real apology, other than some wine and chocolates. We had chosen a Junior Suite, one of their larger rooms and were staying for an entire week, so this was an expensive hotel stay. Coupled with a Gold Hilton status, I had expected more consideration from the management.

The room itself was a decent size, with a very comfortable bed as others have noted. The two windows provided lots of light, although no view to speak of. The bathroom was large, but the shower/tub combination had just a half-sized door, which meant the floor outside the tub was always wet after a shower. There were two closets and a small fridge, although the temperature never seemed to be cold. They provided filtered water bottles which could be refilled.

Unfortunately, there were two nights in a row where neighboring hotel guests were yelling in their room until well after 2:00 am, which I did not expect in a hotel of this caliber. But having already complained about the check in process, I decided it wasn’t worth it to mention another problem.

Housekeeping was everyday and they were very thorough and polite, as were the doorman and concierge. The only disappointment was from the front desk staff, all of whom seemed quite aloof and not really interested in providing a pleasant experience. While we enjoyed our trip to Paris, I would not consider returning to this hotel in the future. At this price point, surely there are better options to be found.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

We stayed here for a week. All of the staff were so lovely and extremely helpful. We walked everywhere, only took one uber the entire week. Took the train to Versailles and it was less than 10 minutes to the train station. All major sites were 30-60 minutes walk.
I would stay here again, without hesitation. Clean, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast, restaurant and bar with great food.
