Pros:

Residence Club

Cons:

We expected a much higher standard of service from such a large and well-known hotel. As guests, we spend our hard-earned money hoping for a special and comfortable experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case here.
Some of the staff were quite rude and lacked basic respect towards guests, which was disappointing. When you are travelling across the world, you naturally have high expectations, and this hotel did not meet them.
During our second stay, we were given a room with a bath/shower that was extremely high and difficult to climb into—especially concerning for anyone with leg injuries. Facilities like this should be clearly mentioned on booking platforms so guests can make informed decisions.
We also felt uncomfortable with the pressure from staff to upgrade and pay more for our 1st stay. Even during our first stay in the Residence Club, staff attempted to upsell us to a more expensive room, which took away from the overall experience. It was also concerning to witness another family needing to raise their voices before being offered a free upgrade.
Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we would consider choosing a different hotel on our next visit.

An excellent stay at a first class hotel
Pros:

The location was perfect. We loved the pool area. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, eager to assist whenever possible. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent, a wide array of different foods and drink. We loved our stay here.

Stunning hotel
Pros:

The staff, comfort and cleanliness were all unbeatable - perfect service in a beautiful hotel.

Cons:

Some minor issues: I'm very sensitive to noise and was woken by people in corridors and doors closing. I went to the spa- initially there was nobody at the desk; then a lady came, ignored me and remained on her phone throughout. I left without making any reservation. I thought the bakery offering at breakfast could be improved to include bread rolls and croissants.

Beware the shower over bathtub, but wonderful staff, breakfast and rooms
Pros:

Staff were consistently wonderful from the bell boys who delivered our luggage to the reception staff. Hotel lobby and breakfast area has stunning high ceilings, breakfast selection was superb. Pool area is large. Room is comfortable and soundproof.

Cons:

The bathroom is a shower over bathtub - photo of the room bathroom is a bit misleeding as it looks like a walk in shower. I would have picked a different hotel or room type if I knew this, as my parents are 68yo and it is dangerous for them.

Cons:

The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
At the time of booking, there was no information provided about the room size. However, upon arrival, we were told that the room allocated to us was too small, and we were asked to pay an additional AUD 190 to upgrade to a more spacious room.
This was quite disappointing, as nothing was mentioned about room size limitations when we requested an extra bed during the booking process.

Excellent stay - definitely recommend
Pros:

Exceptional facilities. Staff extremely helpful, courteous and went the extra mile. Well worth booking rooms with access to the Residence lounge. This gave a much more enjoyable breakfast experience as the main restaurant can get frenetic.

Lovely pool and very helpful pool staff. Whole hotel including pool areas etc kept sparkling clean.

Would definitely stay here again if returned to the city,

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit chaotic - not a hotel issue but just that the restaurant was big and got very noisy.
