Try the Emperor's Wok restaurant. The food is great and Hilton Honors members get a discount.
Pros:

I like this hotel and stay there regularly. But it has its quirks - one of which is that I always have to call to have my internet username and password reset after I check in. Surely an easy quirk that the hotel could sort?

NO FREE WIFI is crazy for such a nice hotel. This is a Hilton thing and is such a scam.

Also, the pool and spa facilities are very hard to find with very few signs leading the way.

We recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Hilton Colombo, and I felt compelled to share our wonderful experience. My wife, our two children, and I chose your hotel to spend some quality leisure time together while celebrating our second son’s second birthday. With our tight schedules and busy routines, this getaway was truly special for us, and it felt incredibly refreshing to finally relax and enjoy some meaningful family time after such a long while. We stayed in the Deluxe King Suite with Sea View, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The suite was beautifully maintained, spacious, and offered a breathtaking view that made our stay even more memorable. What truly touched our hearts was the thoughtful surprise waiting for us when we entered the room. The beautifully arranged birthday cake and decorations were completely unexpected and made the celebration incredibly special for our little one. It was such a kind and personal gesture that we will always cherish. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the high tea, and I must say it was exceptional. The variety, presentation, and taste of the food were simply perfect. Every item was fresh, delicious, and prepared to the highest standards, making the experience even more delightful.
Thank you to the entire team at Hilton Colombo for making our family celebration so memorable and stress-free. Your attention to detail, warm hospitality, and dedication to guest satisfaction truly stand out.

Very good value for money, a pleasant stay.
Pros:

Our stay was very short, though all our needs were satisfied. Great value for money in hotels restaurant for buffet type dinner (food was very good). We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location, luxe feeling, nice atmosphere
Pros:

Location was great as it walkable distance to the things we wanted to see in Colombo or only a short tuk tuk ride away. The actual hotel is beautiful inside, lots of staff who make you feel very welcomed and look after you. Food wise - lots of options available though they could have more vegetarian options. Over dinner there is a band that plays which greats a really nice atmosphere, and you can sit outside next to the water feature in the evenings which is also lovely.

Cons:

It's a minor thing but we had requested a small, non-chocolate cake as a birthday surprise for one of our party (as they don't eat chocolate). They provided a dark chocolate cake - mistakes happen - but it took a lot of phone calls and a few hours to get it replaced which slightly killed the vibe!

The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable with beautiful views.
Pros:

I liked the idea of the security guard being at the front entrance during our stay while we waited for our flight arrangements with Emirates. What was disappointing is that we were told with confidence that we had 10 days of accommodation available due to flight cancellations due to the Iran conflict but after the 3rd day we were told by the hotel staff we had to check out are pay from our own expenses. When airlines, governments and corporations have no honor to truly care for their customers or human lives it is only about monetary gain…

Cons:

The treatment of the people that were inconvenienced and put up for lodging for 10 days and then told that it would be their personal responsibility after the 3rd day. The inconsiderations, the lack of responsibility and accountability that you have with the cooperation of airlines and hotels is deeply disturbing. Most people had to pay twice as much for flights to get back home the last thing they needed was for the airline and hotel to make a profit on their lodging.
