Fantastic view at the balcony, cozy and clean accommodation for a group of family and friends. We have 4 of us but this place can accomodate 6 persons. Location is convenient with bus from Grinderwald train station. A slope to climb, need some strength to push luggage up hill. First cable car station is within walking distance.
Price of the accomodation consider reasonable of a group of 6 stay in.
Amazing location hidden in the heart of the Swiss alps. Beautiful small hotel with cozy vibe, very kind and helpful staff and delicious breakfast buffet. A panorama view of the alps from the breakfast room as well.

The view was superb
The hotel was very cosy, quite cool inside even in the middle of August.
From our room 15, we had a great view over the mountains.
The front desk isn’t always manned, so you can only check in from 16:00 and have to leave by 11:30.
There’s also no bar or restaurant at the hotel, despite the website description. Although there are a lot of choices in Grindelwald itself.
Parking ya the hotel is plentiful and easy. Although walking to and from the hotel maybe difficult for those less able.

I have been in the Gletscherblick several times, alone or with my kids. What I love about it is the exceptional location, very close to Grindelwald town and very quiet at the same time. The breakfast is fantastic and there is coffee and tea for free all day long. The hanging chairs on the terrace with the Eiger and Wetterhorn view are incredibly peaceful.
Rooms are "old" but well kept and exceptionally clean.
Great stay! One of the most peaceful places we've ever been. Quiet location, close to town, with a beautiful balcony view. This is an old fashioned classic Swiss hotel, so not luxurious, but definitely comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Would definitely return.

What a brilliant hotel just out of the main town centre. We stayed there just over a week ago and choose one of the Mountain View rooms - Do this! Our room was spacious and very comfortable, but it was the view sitting on our balcony that will last with me forever. It was about a 1km walk to the town centre, or just 3 stops on the local bus. We were there during holiday season so it was pretty crazy in town, but our hotel was super quiet.

The balcony was so big with the best view we've ever seen. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping kept the room clean and stocked. If you're looking for a hotel out of the way with incredible views, this is the place to stay! We were able to walk to town via the pathways. Would highly recommend!
Laundry facilities not available. Shuttle only for fee when u arrive and depart not during your stay. Far walk to town and restaurants. Only breakfast during summer on property.
Amazing views. The facility is decent and their included breakfast is nice, but we had some large stains on our carpet. Transportation is limited to buses and taxi and the buses stop running at 7 PM. The short walk that Google maps is using is super steep and with heavy luggage is very difficult. Best option from the train station is a 25CHF taxi trip or a bus ride with a shorter walk with less of an incline from the bus stop.
This is the second time we've stayed at the Hotel Gletscherblick. The location is breathtaking. The free breakfast is amazing, as is the view from the dining room. And the hotel rooms are spacious, filled with storage, and have delightful chalet charm. The only downside is that smoking is allowed on the balconies. This makes it harder to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air. We come here to get away from the busy world, but it's hard to do so when there are several parties smoking on their balconies for hours on end. The front desk staff were kind, but they could only suggest that we ask people ourselves not to smoke. If they banned smoking on the entire property, we would definitely come here again.
We were a family of two adults and two kids and had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gletscherblick. The room was clean and very cute, with great view of the surrounding mountains. Other places we stayed in Switzerland did not have a fridge or kitchenette but having that in our room at this place was a definite plus. Breakfast was a good variety of options. Would stay at Hotel Gletscherblick again next time or recommend it to friends.
