Spacious bathroom with separate tub and shower. Mario, the bellman is very friendly and professional. Nice full breakfast was included in my fare.

Cons:

This hotel charged $105.95 on my wife's Visa card as Renaissance Vancouver DOW when we got there first day, 7/4/2026. The hotel receptionist told us this is a deposit only, but it has been pending in my wife's Visa account more than 12 days. We hope that this deposit can be cancelled ASAP. Thank you very much!

AMAZING!!
Pros:

The front desk staff -unfortunately I cannot remember her name (6/13/26)- was AMAZING! She overheard me tell my husband how awful it was checking in my friends at another hotel (not a Marriott property). She made me smile again just by being so friendly. THIS is why I am a Silver Elite Marriott member. She also left a hand written note in our room thanking us for staying and hope my day got better! Just amazing. We had appetizers in the bar during "happy hour" and everything was delicious. Waiter/bartender was very friendly and made excellent food recommendations. Overall an amazing hotel!

Cons:

The jacked up price due to FIFA but I get it. We were in town for an Alaskan cruise from Vancouver.

Great place to stay before boarding our cruise
Pros:

We stayed here the night before our cruise to Alaska. It was very easy to get here from the airport by taking the SkyTrain. It was a short 2 block walk from the city center stop. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Dom working the desk was super friendly! He gave us discount coupons and suggestions for restaurants. It was about a 10 minute walk to the cruise terminal the next morning.

Cons:

The only additional item I'd liked to have had in my room is a small kettle. Coming from the UK, having a cup of tea is very important! 😊 I'd even brought my own teabags!
