La Quinta by Wyndham Oakland Airport Coliseum

Room had a musty odor.

Sadly, this place has seen much better days. Pro: gated parking area with night guard on site gives slightest feeling of safety. Cons: room condition, cleanliness, function (first door didn’t unlock with keys - and we were told to just “try putting both keys in at once and it might work” which did not, thus given a different room…) etc. Staff was cool though.

Smelled very bad in the hallway, the elevator is in bad shape, the lobby is not upto date, seemed like i was checking into a 100 yr old hotel.

I have never written a poor review before and it saddens me to do so. However, this site advertised breakfast included, still had signs up in the weight room, etc. that there was breakfast, and it just didn't appear. The front desk responded to questions about this saying that they were no longer offering breakfast and were planning on taking that off of their website.

When I checked in, the staff member did not say "hello" or greet me in any way, they , just said "i.d.? " and "sign this". They did not indicate that breakfast was not available, didn't show me where the pool or weight room was, didn't give me any info on where the room was, where to park, or even give the wifi information. The elevator was broken (lights out, shaking so bad we felt concerned it would stop), the carpets were torn and thread bare. The coffee maker in my room had plastic small cups next to it that if you actually used, you'd melt the cups and burn your hand (not made for hot beverages). The weight room water cooler was empty over the several days I was there, and there was garbage thrown in the towel bin (no towels) that was not removed during our several day stay. I appreciated that some of the staff were more friendly than our initial check-in person, that parking was readily available and free, and that the room comfortably met our space needs.

I loved everything about LaQuinta Hotel.

I don’t recommended , my room was above the main entrance door an I couldn’t sleep the door was damaged and make a lot of noises when opened.

I have nothing bad to say about this. I just loved It.

I initially had to switch rooms because of the smell. I didnt expect much but it was ok for 2 nights. They are upgrading currently so hopefully the new path is a righteous one!

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The receptionist weren’t friendly, elevator button lights don’t work, the lights in the restroom had rust, the AC buttons were faded and I could not see what I was turning on if it was the heater or AC or fan, I asked for clean towels and they brought them after we left. Also the room key wasn’t working.

Hotel is badly in need of repairs, renovation. The elevator did not work (had to take stairs). Carpet was torn and filthy. Staff at front desk was difficult to understand/ not at all helpful. Could NOT believe that breakfast was not provided (must be the ONLY LaQuinta without a breakfast included?) The good points: Security was there to protect vehicles, as Oakland is a very dangerous place. Location 2 1/2 miles from Airport was very convenient. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom very adequate, price was reasonable!

My stay lasted three nights, and during that time, the room was never cleaned, nor were the sheets or toiletries changed, despite multiple requests at the front desk. The staff at the front office were rude and appeared to view guests as insignificant. They did not greet us, showed no respect, and spoke dismissively, which was completely unprofessional. I believe the only reason people stay here is due to the low room prices; otherwise, no one would choose to do so. I have learned from this experience and will never stay in such a rude or unprofessional place again.

I like the professionalism

Despite complaining to the desk after the first night, I could not get water in the shower for the 4 nights of my stay.

Every thing was not good

Elevator worked inconsistently - buttons didn't always work, door would get jammed, almost got stuck inside. There were questionable characters wandering around late at night, when I left the room in the morning there was a group of policemen coming down the hall w/ weapons out, advancing towards a room at the end of the hall. Did not feel safe, will not return.
