Hotel and Location
Single room .. to small very very old TV
Very nice place 👍🏻☺🤗
The room was great value ahd breakfast lovely, I was at a wedding and staff very organised and tentive in the Winston Churchill room.
Being charged £14 to park surely if staying over should be half the price shocking rate, and hate the say the staff on reception didn't have a clue, need more training on good customer service, shame really.
Food was great
That the room was very drafty due to windows not draft proof so it was very cold in the evening while sleeping
Very friendly and welcoming
Very clean
Nothing not too dislike
All very good. Room warm and comfortable, breakfast delicious, staff friendly. Excellent value for money.
All fine.
Location, sea view, charming hotel
Little bit dated
Iconic Hotel. Loads of history. Wonderful ambience...Breakfast adequate
For the price we paid, nothing.....very good
This is my second visit and once again, great staff, nice comfy room, nice little bar, nice atmosphere. Great breakfast. Great value for money.
It's not so much not liking, but the hotel is a little tired, it being such a grand building needs a bit of a refresh. The check in is a little slow but receptionist was very lovely and friendly.
Having a bath after the stressful time I had there
Waiting constantly to be seen for my inquiries. The smell of weed in every corridor. Over charging customers
The only positive about our stay was the professionalism of the staff, especially the young man on reception who had been left to deal on his own with an ever extending queue requiring attention, and the breakfast staff who were very proficient.
This hotel might have been a quality hotel in the context of thirty years ago but it has clearly not been updated or modernised. A contemporary 4-star hotel in the UK is classed as an upscale, high-quality establishment, and the Imperial failed to qualify on any account. There was no online check in facility so we waited over half an hour to be dealt with at reception. The décor throughout the building, including the bedroom, was tired and shabby, there was dust in many areas, and the towels had obviously seen better days, being grey not white. The shower supply was intermittent, going from cold water to boiling hot, the ceiling was peeling and the wind whipped through the edges of the window. The heating in the bathroom and bedroom was inadequate, there were no power points at the sides of the bed, and no USB charging points in the room. The final nail in the coffin was finding hair in the scrambled eggs. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone but if you do insist you use it then make sure you are fully aware of the hotel's car parking charges before you book and factor that into your costs.
I will be telling all my friends and family to use the hotel
