Blackpool: Muss man mal erlebt haben 😎👍🏼❗
Pros:

Gute Laune garantiert.

Underwhelming
Pros:

Both breakfast and evening meal were very good. Location good as out of the busy centre.
Service staff were very friendly and professional.

Cons:

Checking in at 3pm was a nightmare with cues to the door very slow. Staff not very pleasant as under pressure. Parking expensive £14 per night. Bar very small for size of hotel drinks not too bad. Main lift out of order so had to share lift with service staff so very slow at times (I am a wheelchair user so had no choice) Room was large but dated. Round pin plugs by beds so not compatible with normal 3pin plugs for charging or fan. Bathroom dated had problem with sink blocked, however, was sorted very quickly once reported. Very limited milk for drinks had to ask for more on a number of occasions.

Pros:

Staff always polite. Buffet breakfast always good with plenty of selection. Hot food, cereal etc.

Cons:

Always had a lovely room on previous stays but this room not so nice. The toilet flush was loose and made a banging sound when flushed. The toilet roll holder was hanging off, Bath taps were loose, couldn't get the tv on without shaking the remote, one of the electric sockets was very loose, and one of the door keys wouldn't work to get in but luckily has two. In general a really run down room, was very disappointed with this stay. On the plus side, food was great and staff polite as always especially Ross who sat with us whilst watching the England match on the 15th and was serving at breakfast, lovely guy!

The building is beautiful and it is obvious that this has been an impressive hotel in its day, however it is way beyond
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful, location was good.

Cons:

It was filthy. The room smelt sweaty and dirty. The furniture should have been in a skip, it was broken and stained. Every surface you touched felt sticky and dirty. I don’t think this was the fault of the cleaners just everything was so old and worn out it was probably impossible to clean properly. The electrical plug sockets were minimal. Some of them in the room seemed to be pre 1950 and wouldn’t fit modern plugs. Smell of weed around the entrance.

Pros:

Lovely building, good size rooms. Breakfast was very nice.

Cons:

I think £14 to park your car in a hotel you are staying at is very expensive for 1 night.

Wouldn't stay here again
Pros:

Most staff were helpful and friendly..breakfast was ok. Room was reasonably clean.Location good for the beach.

Cons:

Had evening meal the night before we left..it wasn't very good..service slow..food was bad. Although it's a lovely building it needs updating..peeling paint on skirting boards and windows scratched..given a double room at the back when we were expecting a sea view..this was not made clear when we booked..long wait to check in. Nobody showed us where our room was situated. Only 1 lift working. Facilities in room needs updating..very old fashioned..in keeping with the building i guess.

Never again, see above
Pros:

The outside of the building and the reception was nice

Cons:

Everything else. The room itself felt like an absolute hike just to get to, then key cards didn’t work, was given no information by the person who checked us in, got no room service menu in the room, no instructions for how to use the stupid tv. The double bed, wasn’t a double bed. It was 2 single mattresses pushed together which was totally shit, unexpected and uncomfortable. The room service wasn’t actually room service. You can’t ring up and order something to your room. You can’t pay for it on the card you used to check in with and was informed to order anything you have to go to the bar on the bottom floor and pay for it and wait for it or pay a fiver to have them bring you a tray. So it’s not really room service if I have to go order it down where you then bring it from. Utterly rediculous. The floors of the hotel were littered with empty trays and plates and there was 1 stack next to the elevator on the third floor that had maybe 25 or so food plates and trays and they were there for 3 hours, at least. The £20 cheeseburger and fries were the worst imaginable. A child could have done better. Disgusting. Shocking stay, hated every minute of it and would never go again and recommend everyone else go elsewhere.
