The room needs a lot of renovation, so it's hard to keep clean what simply needs to be repaired or replaced. I will assume that the hotel was recently acquired by new ownership, so eventually the pesticide and insecticide will eliminate the bugs.
Room was ok. Smelled like smoke, even though it is non-smoking. There are several people sitting outside rooms smoking. Toilet kept running, and had to continually play with handle to get it to stop. I had left my curling iron their and did not realize it until I had gotten home 12 hours later. I called them 3 times and kept getting the run around, but finally got an answer that they have it. They will not mail it. Soooooo, if you forget something in the room, prepare to not get it back unless you drive back there and get it. What a way to obtain items to keep. We have stayed there a few times, but will not any more.
Baymont by Wyndham Orangeburg North Carolina is the worst hotel I’d ever been at.
Mismanaged, dirty, worn out linens, noisy, stinky are my words to describe it.
It took 45 min for 4 people to get us checked in.
The room had battery pulled on smoke detector. I assume because it’s not operable.
People smoking pot and standing outside their rooms. Very threatening and dangerous.
The sheets were so old they had little balls and were itchy and rough.
The room was not cleaned well and we think there were bugs as we felt bites while trying to sleep.
The hotel couldn’t control its guests. They allowed a rowdy tour bus of kids run, jump, clap hands from 12:30am until we couldn’t take us anymore and left at 2am.
There is no way that this hotel meets any cleanliness standards.
The room we stayed in did not lock properly and there were people hanging around outside smoking drugs, so we felt very unsafe and had to barricade the door with luggage. Fortunately we only stayed for one night but it was a highly stressful and uncomfortable experience due to the overpowering stench of cigarettes that plagued the room. The bathroom was in disgusting condition with mould on the shower curtain, in the bathtub and on the floor. When i woke in the morning I felt very unrested and unfortunately had caught a stye from the unclean sheets.
Absolutely nauseating.
The parking was good. The rooms were dated. Vending and ice machine was out of order. Beds were soft.
Mold on bathroom shower, toilet ran continuously, door hits toilet and splinters, carpet pulled from carpet tack strips, someone poured lotion in coffee maker that hadn’t been cleaned, inadequate trash cans in room, dirty & stained carpet. Only plus were nice bedding and good quality mattress.
We had read the reviews, and had a little trepidation about staying there but the room was in good shape the bed was moderately hard, but my wife likes a firm bed anyhow. The pillows were actually abysmal and the breakfast buffet consisted of make your own waffles cold cereal and muffins. Which was not exactly what I expected for a buffet, more like a snack. But for $100 hotel room I would probably stay there again.
Convenient location. Carpet was filthy, very low end room. Tiny microwave. Working refrigerator. The bed was the only thing that looked clean.Rooms opened to outside.
A lot of things in the room were broken bathroom light didn't work took me a long time to get the TV remote to work pieces of the air conditioning were broken where the ice machine was it was all molded there were panels falling off the ceiling and the ice room it was just totally disgusting
Room was in poor condition. Couch stained, shower curtain stained.
All is well
Old disgusting bathroom
Bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had some damage like broken door and cracked tile but otherwise was clean and everything worked.
Yes
Yes parking was easy
The staff was great but the rooms are not up to par. Very outdated
Broken ice machine, one coffee for 2 people.
The toilet flush handle was not attached. The towel hook was sitting on top of toilet tank. Shower tub drain very very slow. Stood in water the entire time.
Breakfast was minimal at best. Milk was room temp. Cereal stale..
Very clean and quiet
This place is extremely dirty and the pool was unusable. The breakfast was minimum of only a sausage biscuit or cereal . The Bathtub was filthy
