I had the most wonderful stay at the Copthorne. On arrival I was greeted by Lia who couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. This was just the beginning of an amazing stay….
Easy access, car parking and refurbished rooms
Nothing
I have never had a bad meal here. Excellent service from Ellie and Toukeey. Warm, friendly, and very professional.
Not raising a issue but ,two small charges were made to my card, believe on the same day . If I can find out ,what these were for ?
Ubicacion cerca de Old Trafford y bien comunicado
No están preparados para altas temperaturas
Staff welcoming and friendly. Great location, car parking a bonus. Some nice additional touches in reception inc various flavoured water, cold water point. Lift safety/ access to floors is secure. Restaurant menu/ food was good- vegan burger was fab.
Having stayed at this hotel for the last 3 years the refurbishments/ updating do not appear to have moved forward very far which is a shame as it could be a top quality, contemporary hotel. The car park trees and general cleanliness in that area needs attention .
Ge8 location
Bathroom looked old. And parking bays are tiny and narrow.
federe sporche , soffione della doccia rotto e con delle perdite , moquette sporca.
Excellent choice of food, and we both thought the food was of a good quality.
I would have preferred an unsweetened soya milk.
Convenent parking
Welcoming reception area and check in experence.
Nice and comfortable room.
Beautiful view
No need for staff knocking on the door in the morning. Check out was 12 and you shouldnt be bothering guests unless they have outstayed check out. Knocking on the door at 10:30am asking when we was leaving made us feel like we needed to rush.
We stayed for two nights for our anniversary and to visit sites around Manchester. The reception staff were efficient and attentive. There was a big gig playing locally and there were lots of gig-goers in the lobby- the hotel really made an effort to bring some atmosphere to the guests by playing the bands music and adding little subtle touches for them. Although not for us we felt this was a really great way to welcome guests.
Our room was spacious and included an ironing board and dressing gown and slippers (though only for one not two). The furnishings were a mix of old and new fittings which was odd. The shower dial looked like it was from the 70s and the shelving unit looked really cheap and dated, yet the flat screen tv was large and new. It was all a bit of a mis-match. We know that the hotel is going through a renovation but I do think a priority should be to replace the dated furniture as soon as possible. I’ve paid less for a lot better in the past. The bed was comfy but as another reviewer has pointed out, there is no air con and the fan they supply is really loud. We did pre-empt this and brought one from home which was just as well in a heat wave.
The location is great and the quays were nice to sit by with a drink in the evening. The bar was quite pricey but that’s to be expected. The breakfast was great and the staff were really accommodating throughout our stay.
Would I come back? If I could guarantee a less dated room then yes. All in all a positive experience but I’m not sure it quite hits the 4 stars.
Overall, it met my expectations.
