Hoylake is a great place to visit
Pros:

Great location. Comfortable, light room. Really helpful member of staff greeted us. Good advice about walks

Cons:

Member of staff on duty in morning didn’t seem very bothered though she did let us leave our bags

Really pleasant stay, great people, charming hotel and easy to find.
Pros:

A charming hotel. The staff were all friendly, this old hotel was really comfortable, clean and welcoming. We loved it, and will more than probably return. We particularly were impressed with the guy who always served us breakfast... nothing was too much trouble and actually, all the staff were like that.

Cons:

Prices in the restaurant for our evening meal were on the high side, but we had a nice meal in comfortable surroundings. Nothing else to mention, I guess the price of meals is a sign of the times everywhere now.

Our stay
Pros:

Good facilities, clean, good central location near station. Majority of staff pleasant and helpful .

Cons:

Difficult to contact. Hate AI booking. Impossible to get a human on phone!!
Had invited friends for dinner on 1st night and manageress very abrupt and positively hurried us out of bar before 10pm with no chance for coffee! Not a good hostess!

Great location with lovely friendly staff
Pros:

It was a perfect location for us to enjoy lovely walks in the area and along the prominade. It was also very convenient for lovely places to eat and drink. Only a 3 minute walk to the train station with regular services into Liverpool. The room was a generous size also the bed and quilt were very good.

Cons:

The only disapointment was the shower head; it was quite feeble and tended to spray water everywhere.

Clean and good location for West Kirby and Liverpool visit.
So close to the beautiful beach.

Very expensive drinks and food.
There used to be offers and a special board.

Great position for exploring the coast.
Pros:

Room was basic but pleasant with large bathroom. Pub interior was large and interesting with good beer. Parking was excellent. Situation for coastal walking was great.

An OK venue for not worth the money we paid.
Pros:

The bedroom was a good size.

Cons:

Quite tired looking. The quality of the hotel fell short of the photos. The staff were not overly friendly. The breakfast was not great. The online checking and pre-payment of things like breakfast seemed to not be updated in their systems.
