If in Quito, stay here!!!

EVERYTHING!!! This was, by far, the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 3 week trip! My husband was ready to move in! Haha
Very large beautiful room! Super comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom with hot water. The breakfast was absolutely spectacular!!

A five star experience for a three star price!
Pros:

The room was huge and well appointed. The spa and gym were fantastic. The staff was very helpful.

Cons:

No air conditioning or temperature controls so it was necessary to open the window which is noisy at night.

Decent hotel at a good price.
Pros:

We stayed here for 9 nights in April.
The hotel is clean, tidy and the staff we found to be very helpful.
Our luggage was left in Madrid when we arrived in Quito and the reception team helped us with several requests we made when dealing with the airline and the situation. So thank you.
Our room and bathroom was a decent size and was cleaned daily. Toiletries were also supplied.
The only issue was the noise from Amazonas Av. at the front of the hotel. It can be noisy at night but we did sleep well enough, to be fair.
There is also fresh water on each landing for guests.
The Spa at the top of the hotel is an added treat. Gym, sauna, steam room, pool, showers, it’s a real plus.
The adjoining Spicy restaurant served good food at decent enough prices for a hotel and the menu and service was good.
The best thing we can add is that we would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel with great staff
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location, within walking distance of the Artisanal Market, numerous cafes, mini markets, and restaurants. We made use of the gym, sauna and pool every night to help us relax after long days of exploring the city and going on tours. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or assist with anything we needed. Their on-site restaurant quickly became a favorite, where we had dinner most nights. The attentive staff served fresh, delicious food every time, and we even got to try some local beers recommended by one of them.

Cons:

We enjoyed everything about the hotel and have nothing negative to say. Everything was excellent, and the staff was always ready to help and meet our needs. One day, we needed to reheat leftovers since there was no microwave in the room, so we asked the staff for assistance. They directed us to the restaurant kitchen, where they not only warmed our food but served it back to us on plates as if freshly prepared. That simple gesture made us feel truly appreciated!

Be aware that this hotel has apparently been undergoing renovation and some of the rooms are in disrepair or haven't been done yet. We were assigned one of these rooms and it was totally unacceptable. We were in room 112 and it was tiny, in disrepair and outdated. Other people in our group that booked the same level room had suite like accommodations for the same price we paid. Finaly, after 2 days of complaints, we were offered a different room. My question to the hotel, Why didn't you do this the first day we were there? We were TOTALLY displeased with our stay because of this and would advise against staying here.

Marvellous Quito Mercure was an excellent choice of hotel for our visit.
Pros:

Location was very good - we were able to walk to the Jardin Botanico de Quito which is fantastic. Our room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. We enjoyed the daily generous breakfast and dined in the restaurant for dinner all 3 nights with very nice food. The restaurant wait-staff were superb.

Cons:

We had a little difficulty communicating with the staff at reception.
