Guests under 18 years old are not allowed in the swimming pool or fitness club.
Children aged 13 - 17 years and below can only use the pool area under adult supervision.

I was traveling with my two college-age children. Our room was a good size by Tokyo standards and had three beds. We all loved the cool aesthetics of the hotel, the high caliber of service (concierge, bellmen, housekeeping with turn-down service, etc.), and the amenities (pool, hot tub, spa services). Note that the gym/fitness room is only for guests 18 and up. The hotel has direct access to the subway (you don't have to go outside!) which makes sightseeing so convenient. The location is peaceful and less touristy than other parts of Tokyo, and there's a shrine just steps from the hotel. We found good restaurant options nearby hotel and loved coming back to our quiet, clean, and very zen-feeling room each night. The bathroom and shower warrant an extra shout-out, as does the nice breakfast (pricey but worth the splurge at least once, with Japanese, American, and European-style breakfast options).
The rooms are great. The cleaning staff is very courteous and does a very good job keeping the room clean and organized. The concierge staff was great to work with both before our visit lining up a tour guide and driver, and during our visit in helping with restaurant reservations. The only thing that was disappointing was the Chinese restaurant - the service timing and food were not up to the standard or the other 2 restaurants which were very good. The bar service was excellent.
The location is perfect, room is well designed and staff is so friendly.

Cet hôtel est une référence incontournable de Tokyo, tant par sa situation géographique dans la ville et l'accès au métro tokyoïte, que par la qualité des prestations qu'il propose. Dès l'arrivée on ressent que cet établissement est d'une qualité irréprochable a tous les points de vue: amabilité et efficacité du personnel (l’hôtellerie européenne, et suisse en particulier, aurait beaucoup à en apprendre et devrait s'en inspirer de toute urgence), propreté des tous les espaces communs et privés, magnifiques senteurs dès le hall d'entrée, sans être entêtant pour autant. Service de conciergerie impeccable.
Il y a malheureusement un seul point noir: le bar. Nous nous y sommes rendus le dernier soir vers 22h00 pour y boire un cocktail. Étonnement, dans un pays où le tabagisme est fortement réprouvé dans tout l'espace public, la plus belle partie du bar, où il est possible de s'installer dans des fauteuils (comme ailleurs dans le monde), est totalement fumeur; vous vous retrouver installé au bar lui-même (8-10 chaises maximum), en face d'un barman étonnement désinvolte voire familier pour un japonais, et qui de surcroit s’est mis à trinquer et boire devant nous avec deux autres clients déjà saouls ! Autant le premier cocktail qu'il nous a servi était correct (mais sans plus), autant le second était bâclé et loin des standards attendus dans ce type d'hôtels. Jamais vu cela dans un hôtel 5* ! La direction devrait peut-être aller jeter un œil en milieu de soirée dans cet espace de l'hôtel. Donc, si vous allez au Capitol Hôtel Tokyu, allez boire un drink ailleurs, même si tout le restant de l'hôtel est sans reproches.

Second time at the Capitol in three years. Both have exceeded expectations.
Breakfast, which is amazing and reasonably priced, was not included in our rate.
The location is excellent. The metro station is right below the building and it is very easy to reach the most popular tourist areas. Ginza is only 2 stops away and Shibuya is about 10 minutes away. Everything is close and convenient. The area is peaceful and beautiful. Every time I went outside, I enjoyed the atmosphere around the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with many different dishes. The choice was very good and the breakfast was filling and enjoyable. The staff were very polite and friendly. They always greeted guests warmly. It was always pleasant to go downstairs, walk through the lobby and pass the reception. The people working there are wonderful. I was always happy to see them and say hello.
The only serious point I would ask the hotel owners to reconsider is the minibar policy. At checkout, I was asked whether I had used the minibar. I understand that this may be a standard hotel procedure, but in a hotel of this level, this question felt very inappropriate and disappointing.
When a guest is paying around 700 dollars or more per night, the cost of a few simple drinks in the minibar is very small compared with the room rate. These are not rare or luxury drinks. They are basic minibar items. For many guests staying at this level of hotel, the value of these drinks is not important. What is important is the feeling of trust, comfort and respect.
Because of this, asking guests at checkout whether they used the minibar creates the wrong impression. It makes the experience feel less premium. It also creates an uncomfortable moment at the very end of an otherwise excellent stay.
In other high-level hotels in Japan, the minibar is often complimentary or the process is handled without asking the guest this kind of question at checkout. This is a better approach for a luxury hotel. It avoids an awkward conversation and keeps the final impression positive.
I strongly recommend that the hotel make the minibar complimentary, especially considering the room price and the excellent service level in all other areas. This would be a small cost for the hotel, but it would make the guest experience feel much more complete and respectful.
Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with a great location, excellent breakfast, and truly wonderful staff. I would be happy to stay here again, but I hope the hotel will improve the minibar policy because it does not match the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
