Das Hotel lebt von der Lage
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist natürlich perfekt. Direkt gegenüber der Porta Nigra und der Innenstadt mit den Geschäften und der Gastronomie. Das Frühstück war, wie ich das in einem Mercure Hotel und insbesondere für diesen Preis erwarte; also absolut OK.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist dringend sanierungsbedürftig. Im Bad fehlte eine Scheibe des Badewannen-/Duschabtrennung und die untere Dichtung fehlte, sodass man beim Duschen das Badezimmer flutete. Insgesamt sollte das ganze Zimmer und auch das Hotel an sich mal grundlegend Renoviert werden.

Pros:

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und das sieht man.
Glücklicherweise konnte ich das Zimmer am zweiten Tag tauschen. Für dieses Zimmer schreibe ich eine getrennte Beurteilung.

Cons:

Im Hotel wird man mit einem Überheblichen Tonfall abgefertigt. Die Zimmer besitzen keinen Kühlschrank.
Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ist trostlos. Die Badtür klemmt und das Licht flackert.
Die Betten knarksen bei jeder Bewegung sehr laut. Das Bad hat Stockflecken. Der Teppich ist fleckig.

Guter Aufenthalt nach einem Fehlstart
Pros:

Nach einer Reklamation erhielt ich ein Upgrade. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und mit Blick auf Porta Nigra. Dieses Zimmer hat meine Erwartungen erfüllt.

Das Zimmer in der ersten Nacht.

Bei der Hitze war das klimatisierte Zimmer eine echte Wohltat, ausreichend Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage, sehr zentral gelegen, gutes Frühstück

Goede kamer met lekker ontbijt in het centrum met veel dingen om te doen.
Pros:

Snel en vriendelijk ontvangen door de receptie, er was ruim voldoende parkeerruimte bij het hotel.
De dag dat wij er waren was de bar dicht. Toen heeft de receptie wat koud drinken voor ons geregeld op de hete dag dat we er waren. De kamer had een goede airco wat welkom was op deze warme dag.
Het was een ruime kamer met uitzicht op de Porta Nigra.

Cons:

De bar was niet open deze dag.
