La Réserve Eden is a nice small luxury hotel, very well place in front of the Zurich lake, at walking distance of several points of interest at the heart of the city. I booked a room with a large terrace on the first floor. The terrace is quite nice, although I was not able to fully enjoy it due to the May weather, cold and windy during my stay. And the street just below it (Utoquai) is rather busy and noisy, which could make the experience less enjoyable.
The room has been very nicely renovated by Philippe Stark, I love very much. Weak point is the lack of storages and wardrobes, as well as not so many amenities provided.
I’ve tried the Kitchen & Bar, a very good 1* restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff there are really warm, kind and attentive. They didn’t just provide excellent service but made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
Could not say the same about a housekeeper lady or other who does our turn down service, she clearly showed irritation and displeasure when I asked for the room to be turned down later. Such reactions make guests feel uncomfortable and are not in line with the level of hospitality one would expect.
In the contrary the bellboys and doormen are exquisitely nice, I was positively pleased they greeted me with my name, while this is the first time I came to the hotel.
The last thing that I also regret in this otherwise lovely hotel is the lack of a spa, although the hotel does provide in-room massage performed by external therapist.
I have stayed in other La Reserve hotels but the Zurich Eden au Lac is now my favourite. Fantastic interiors - comfort and furnishings. Super staff - all. The general manager Nicole Zandt greeted me when I arrived and later helped me secure a table in the rooftop restaurant which in the warm weather is apparently always over subscribed. The hotel also introduced me to Sparkling Tea 'Champage' - a much appreciated alternative to alcohol. It was left in my room - complimentary and really delicious. Thanks to everyone - I will be back
A place with history - yet modern - elegant and casual at the same time. Settled almost directly at the Lake. Very close to Opera House surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. Definetly the posher part of Zurich.
WOW! luxury hotel in every sense of the work. Perfectly positioned for walking the city. Lovely staff, very attentive. We had a room overlooking the water and a balcony, very nice indeed. Make sure you have a meal in the restaurant, great experience. All in all 5 star!
A great hotel! Perfect location and top service. We spent a night there, the room was amazing with direct view to the Zurich lake.
Exceptional stay- friendly staff- perfect location- would highly recommend
I would have given this hotel 5 stars except it is not on the Lake but a main street is in front. I had ordered a room with a lake view with a terrace thinking that there was no street. However, it was quiet at night but I am sure during the summer it probably will be noisy. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The breakfast is very good.
Modern interiors in a historic building, just a short walking distance to everything. The hotel was spotless, the staff was super friendly, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the DJ and the low-key buzz at the lounge in the early evening. Although the bathrooms were on the smaller side, everything else about the hotel made up for that.
Hard to find appropriate words to describe a most nice experience. It has been a good and friendly staying. Just keep it up this way.
Outstanding hotel and service. Beautiful rooms. Extremely clean and quiet. Upstairs restaurant was terrific. Location is convenient. Views of Lake Zurich are memorable.
I had the best stay in La Réserve Zurich. From the warm welcome of the bell boy that switch immediately to my language and the great hospitality of front staff and concierge.
The room is in excellent conditions, well soundproofed for a relaxed night.
The team at the breakfast area is here to make you feel at ease. You can find the classic in the offer.
I highly recommend the hotel.
This is very much a five star experience. The room was excellent with a fantastic view
The staff really made the difference. The reception staff and restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant. They all even addressed us by first and last names. A truly wonderful hotel stay
Our two-night stay at La Reserve Eden au Lac Zurich was the perfect way to begin our honeymoon.
The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the lake and close to popular restaurants and the city centre, but was surprisingly still quiet.
As soon as we arrived to our room there were treats for celebrating our honeymoon waiting for us, including a bottle of champagne and lovely chocolates (including a chocolate elephant!) - this was a lovely touch by the hotel which made our first day in Switzerland feel even more special.
We stayed in a 'lake view room' and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, with both the bed and the bath look out onto the lake - would definitely recommend booking this room. The room was incredibly stylish - mixing exposed red brick walls, black and white marble and wooden floors.
On the first night we had dinner at the hotel's Michelin starred restaurant 'Eden Kitchen' which was excellent - would highly recommend. For the second night, the hotel staff were able to secure us a booking at the popular Lulu Restaurant despite out last minute request, which was very impressive.
Throughout our stay the hotel staff were always very friendly and attentive.
We could not fault this hotel and next time we visit Zurich we will definitely be back at La Reserve Eden au Lac Zurich.
This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Switzerland. Lena did a wonderful job welcoming us, while the bellman took care of our luggage and parking the car. Dinner on the sixth floor at the Peruvian-Japanese restaurant is a must! Service was flawless from start to finish, including a welcome bottle of champagne and goodies for our small dog who was treated like royalty!
La Reserve is always a promise of quality and style. Zurich one is particularly unique, with great design, Michelin starred restaurant and a view of the lake. My top choice when in Zurich.
Wonderful hotel, attentive staff, beautiful room. High quality breakfast. Bar is also nice, could be busier. Room decoration is modern and warm
No contest best hotel in Zurich. Quintessentially Swiss. From the design to the location to the service La Reserve exudes stealth wealth. Go for the corner room with wrap around terrace facing Lac Zurich -- you won't be disappointed. The service from the moment you step foot on the property to the moment you leave is incredible, genuine, personal. Luxury materials -- dark, sexy mood, cool, textural, opulent. The private gym on 2nd floor is small and well done and you also have access to an incredible full service spa gym in the neighbourhood. Sushi restaurant is worth mentioning on the top floor, too. Breakfast (and waiter) also noteworthy. Overall a five star luxe experience. Highly recommend. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Zurich.
Very beautiful hotel with excellent food and service. Excellent views of the lake! Amazing restaurant and services.
I’ve been a lot of times on the roof top bar, but first time staying at the hotel. We had a fantastic upgrade to room with a lake view 🤗 fabulous, thank you very much! The front office team all of them were super kind and attentive to our wishes! Highlight for me was also the breakfast, perfect service, the best French toast ever and Kristina was the best ♥️
