The location, cleanliness, staff and amenities(specifically the fitness center and the pool were open early and they were excellent.
LC at the front desk, the bellman, and our room maid were all exceptional. We also enjoyed the jazz trio in the lounge along with wonderful table service.
We were happy.

Very elegant access to Atlanta shopping and eateries was great I enjoyed the restaurant and bar vibes. Breakfast was delicious. The spa was amazing I will be returning to enjoy the spa.
The toilets weren't so low hard to get up and down.
The stay was wonderful everyone was very nice from the valet to the front desk and there was a valet named Matthew who helped with my bags greeted me with a smile and was a very respectful young man and the room was very nice loved the suite and the view
Excellent 5 star hotel
The Internet speed and connection was not great
My family was celebrating the wedding of my daughter at the Whitley Hotel-Atlanta Buckhead and what a fabulous hotel venue it is and what a fantastic hotel staff the Whitley has! The entire hotel staff was wonderful in providing best-in-class, 5-Star service to us and to all of our guests! I am extremely appreciative of the top-notch guest services provided by the front desk/check in-check out team, led by Edith M-C, Director of Front Office! Edith made sure that our guest rooms/suites were in beautiful condition and promptly took care of any services that we needed during our stay.
The Whitley’s Catering Director, Andrea T. was also fantastic with helping us plan a beautiful wedding weekend, providing expert advice and helping us make decisions easier for a very special day!
I would highly recommend the Whitley Hotel Atlanta/Buckhead’s venue and their staff for an upcoming Company conference, Wedding or Stay-cation! Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

This hotel truly had a WOW effect on me. From the moment I handed over my car to the valet, I felt genuinely taken care of by the incredible staff. Every staff member in this hotel is welcoming and always ready to help. The rooms are beautifully renovated, spotless, quiet and the bed is among the most comfortable I have experienced.
I absolutely loved the bar/restaurant. The bartender is a rock star and the local beer on tap paired perfectly with the fried green tomatoes, I highly recommend both! I felt so relaxed and comfortable that I didn’t even feel the need to leave the hotel during my stay.
I am not usually a big fan of the Buckhead area, but this hotel feels like a true oasis. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
We recently stayed at this hotel and wanted to make other guests aware of our experience regarding taxi arrangements.
On arrival from the airport, we were charged $56 for our journey. However, when arranging transport back through the hotel bell staff, we were quoted and charged $106 for the same route — nearly double the price.
We also took a separate 30-minute journey during our stay, which cost us $70 each way. What made this more concerning was the driver’s comment at the end of the trip, advising us not to tip the bellman, as he had already given him $30 — suggesting some kind of arrangement or commission.
This left us feeling quite uncomfortable, as it appeared we may have been overcharged and that there could be a lack of transparency between the bell staff and taxi drivers.
We would strongly recommend:
• Confirming taxi prices independently (e.g. Uber or a metered cab)
• Avoiding booking taxis solely through the bell desk without checking rates
• Asking if fares are fixed or metered before agreeing
The hotel itself was otherwise lovely, apart from a 5star hotel still having shower curtains? but this experience did take the edge off our stay.
From the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making check-in seamless and welcoming. Every detail—from the elegant lobby to the spotless, beautifully designed room—reflected a commitment to excellence.
The room itself was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The bed was incredibly plush, the linens were fresh and high-quality, and the ambiance created a peaceful, relaxing retreat after a long day. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the well-stocked amenities and attention to cleanliness.
What truly stood out was the level of service. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Whether it was quick responses to requests or helpful recommendations, their dedication did not go unnoticed.
The hotel’s amenities were just as impressive—everything was well-maintained, inviting, and designed with the guest experience in mind. It’s clear that pride is taken in every aspect of this property.
Overall, this was more than just a stay—it was an experience. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and exceptional service.
It was an okay hotel, and nothing special about it. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this one is not for you. It seems like they don't really care about their guests. I stayed here during my birthday trip and I made a note in advance in the travel request form that they sent me. However, they didn't care and read it. The only good thing is that the hotel is next to the mall. I will not return to this hotel in the future.
An old Ritz Carlton shows its age. Looks tired. Rooms small. No mini fridge, microwave or coffeemaker in room. Proudly served Starbucks brewed coffee urns in lobby in the morning only and you have to get dressed and go down and get it. (No decaf)
Nice gym for hotel standards. Restaurant/bar has small menu but food was decent. Walking distance to Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza a plus.
Valet parking $62/night with in and out privileges. Self park for $50 with NO in and out privileges.
For the price and condition of hotel we’ll stay somewhere else next time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Whitley. Every staff member was accommodating and friendly. Upon arrival, the valet was kind and gave us time to let my toddler finish out his car nap. Valet is prompt and only $12 more than the self park nearby, so we just went with valet. Our first room was very hot and didn’t seem to be cooling off when we turned the thermostat down, so they immediately sent up maintenance and just switched us to a new room of equal, maybe even bigger, square footage. The pool was clean and towels were stocked. My only complaint was that my chicken sandwich for dinner was extremely dry as well as the waffles and biscuits at breakfast, but it’s probably hard not to have things dry out with a buffet style brunch. Our experience was still very nice with dining and all other orders were good. Coffee is provided in the lobby in the mornings, until about 10am. The club lounge is closed on the weekends, so if you’re concerned with using it for breakfast or snacks during your stay, make sure to stay on weekdays. We had a club level room, but stayed over the weekend so we didn’t get to use the lounge. I never actually cash in on my upgrades each year anyways so it didn’t bother me as I needed to switch from a king to 2 queens, so it was still a useful upgrade to me and a pretty view.
