Great Service And Beautiful Hotel
Pros:

For my sorority anniversary, eight of us stayed at The Whitley and we could not have been more pleased with our stay.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and comfy. The staff was phenomenal! I'd like to give an extra shout out to Shonta Purnell-Walker, Director of Outlets, along with Yagodinka and Violina who went over and above.

We had made our own plans to go to Tea Around Town but the reservation was canceled due to operational issues. While eating breakfast in the hotel, Shonta came by to ask about our stay and I mentioned our tea reservation was canceled. She mentioned that hotel does a tea party service on Sundays but it was Saturday. Then she said give her a minute to figure something out.

Within 20 minutes she came back and said they would use a semi private space to give us our own private tea party with ALL the frills. Within a few hours we had out tea party complete with pastries, a variety of teas, dainty sandwiches, bird cages for the food and more. It was amazing!

The Whitley saved the day for us and we will be back!

Pros:

The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Atlanta Buckhead promotes itself as offering “luxury reimagined,” sophisticated accommodations, and warm Southern hospitality with attentive service. However, based on my experience, the hotel did not deliver on this promise at all.

Instead of receiving professional, respectful treatment consistent with a luxury brand, my partner and I were abruptly confronted late at night by staff and police and ordered to leave without a clear explanation or willingness to investigate the situation. Our offer to allow a room search to disprove the allegations was refused, and the stated reason for removal changed without justification. This lack of communication, fairness, and basic customer care is the opposite of the attentive service a luxury hotel claims to provide.

Additionally, staff behavior during the incident was aggressive and unhelpful rather than calm and solution-oriented. We were escorted out in the middle of the night despite having spent significant money on the stay and room service, and we received no meaningful assistance retrieving our belongings or valet vehicles. Being removed publicly with police presence was humiliating and deeply distressing, especially during what was meant to be a special Valentine’s celebration.

While the hotel advertises warm hospitality and impeccable service, my experience reflected poor management, lack of professionalism, and treatment that felt discriminatory and dismissive. Although the charges were later waived, this did not address the embarrassment, emotional distress, or the complete disruption of our stay.

Overall, based on this experience, The Whitley failed to deliver on its promise of luxury service, guest care, and hospitality.

Great experience, will be back!
Pros:

Enjoyed my stay. The room was spotless and quiet, and room service was fast. Valet was also super fast. Super comfortable bed and nice view of the Atlanta skyline. FHR benefits were recognized no problem after I questioned the checkout time upon arrival. Would stay again!

The BEST experience…. ALWAYS
Pros:

We had the BEST stay! We’ve visited the Whitley many times, but this trip truly topped them all. It’s our favorite staycation hotel in Atlanta, and they never disappoint. The customer service is unmatched, the luxury is top-tier, and the food is divine. My family and I had an amazing time.
The rooms are always so clean and welcoming, they provide everything needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel is close to great shopping malls, great restaurants within walking distance. You get great value for your money staying here. This hotel is so relaxing and quiet, you sleep peacefully and wake up refreshed to delicious complimentary coffee.
A special thank you to the Director of Outlets, Shonta — hands down the best. She went above and beyond to elevate our experience from the moment we arrived until the time we left. Absolutely incredible. Assistant Outlet Manager Caroline noticed my husband and me enjoying a drink, stopped to chat, and instantly made us feel like old friends. She is so personable and warm. Huge shoutout to the mixologist, Tsegaye — truly one of the best cocktail experiences I’ve had! Every drink was crafted with care, creativity, and perfect balance. You can tell he’s passionate about his craft. To the entire staff: you are all amazing. We’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you so much!

My new staycation ritual!
Pros:

I had the most amazing time during my stay at The Whitley. I’d like to personally thank Edith at the front desk for making extra sure my birthday was super special! My suite was impeccable with an amazing view from the 22nd floor, and I was gifted chocolates and wine in my room to celebrate. I felt like a Queen during my stay, and the entire staff from the bellmen to the guest services to the front desk were extremely attentive and intentional. I will be back, I’m thinking, I’ll make this a quarterly staycation!

A Brunch Experience Worth the Trip
Pros:

Dined at The Whitley for brunch today and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional. Everything was thoughtfully prepared/cooked to perfection and the service truly elevated the entire meal. Shonta and Sai were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made the experience feel that much more special. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend The Whitley. The hospitality alone makes it worth the trip, and the delicious food seals the deal.
