The River Lee Hotel

After a long and busy Saturday performing at a show in the Opera House, it was such a pleasure to return to such a beautiful room and genuinely thoughtful service.

Every member of staff I met, from reception to the bar team, the breakfast staff, and those in the gym was fantastic. I felt really well cared for throughout my stay, and the facilities were exceptional. It made the whole weekend feel that bit more special.

My wife and I stayed at The River Lee over the St Patrick’s weekend.

Pleasant reception staff on arrival and rang me when our room was ready.

We were in room 212 which was nice. We didn’t take breakfast or dinner.

Mom and I just returned from Cork, Ireland for the second time while staying The River Lee. Celebrated mom 75th birthday this time. We had a lot of fun with old and new friends 🧡. The River Lee is definitely a 5 star place to stay. With awesome food and the best staff ever. Maeve at the front desk makes you feel like home. Emma the hostess at the restaurants is like a ray of sunshine. The best waitresses are Elisa, Georgee and Elvira. They treated us like royalty. The best bartenders Sophia and Lauren made sure are drinks were full. The floor managers Patrick, JP and Martha made sure everyone was being taken care of and having a great time. The boss Camilla always had a smile on her face and treated us like family. I recommend everyone going to Cork, Ireland to stay at The River Lee for the best vacation ever guaranteed.

Stayed at the River Lee Hotel twice in the past two months and cannot recommend it highly enough -- rooms are comfortable, they're generous with what they provide (slippers, coffee-maker in the room, excellent breakfast), staff is attentive, atmosphere both peaceful and welcoming.

Our favourite hotel in Cork because of the staff just to mention a few .... from Kevin , Karolina , Glenda and on our last visit Helena in reception very nice welcome . Beautiful allocated River View Room with turn down service in the evening the most comfortable of beds and always lovely and quiet ensuring a great night sleep! We love the table service for breakfast for the hot options which is a nice touch . I could go on and on but please ignore any negative reviews as this is truly a well run hotel with extremely friendly staff in all departments .

I highly recommend this hotel for a break in Cork City. From check-in with a room upgrade and our bags brought to our room, to food and drinks in the terrace bar, to the best hotel breakfast we've ever had to an easy check-out. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent location close to city center, ample parking with charging facilities, friendly helpful staff, comfortable quite rooms, for us the lobby, restaurant, bar area is missing something, a bit of atmosphere/character, but overall a great hotel

Water pressure was crazy low. The room was nice, but we were unable to cool it down using the thermostat. I feel like we paid a lot for a so so hotel room.

My sister and I had such a wonderful stay at The River Lee Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional — and that was largely thanks to the incredible staff.

A special mention must go to Denis at reception, who truly made our stay memorable. He was so professional, personable and thoughtful from the very beginning. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived, and Denis kindly gave us a voucher for drinks so we could relax in the bar while we waited, which was such a lovely touch.

A short while later he came to let us know our bags had already been brought up to our room. When we arrived upstairs, we noticed my nephew’s teddy had been carefully placed on the bed — such a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that really made us smile.

Denis also arranged a taxi for us for later that evening and when we needed to change the time, he couldn’t have been more helpful. The next morning when we asked about a late checkout, he was again so accommodating. His attention to detail and genuine friendliness made the whole experience feel seamless and special from start to finish. He is a real asset to the hotel.

The rooms themselves are exceptionally beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the location is perfect — only about an 8-minute walk into the centre of Cork.

We also had dinner in the restaurant and the experience there was just as impressive. The restaurant staff were incredibly personable, friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. The service felt warm and genuine and really added to the overall experience of the hotel.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. 10/10 — we will absolutely be back.

Amazing hotel lovely night stay with my friend while we were eating breakie we were observing staff and one member stood out and had a perk in his step and that was Gabriel very nice member of staff he need to get promoted

I went for breakfast as I had heard from friends it was a lovely place and they weren’t wrong. I was served by a girl named Kellie and she was brilliant very welcoming and kind. Will definitely be going back!

As always you cannot beat a Doyle Collection hotel, friendly staff and the quality and service is always exceptional and consistent. We were going to an event in the Cork Opera House, The River Lee is really handy and convenient to walk to it.

We had to book in last minute due to a family emergency and this hotel was exceptional to us.

Personally want to thank Denis for all his help and patience throughout our stay! He made a very positive impact during a very tough time.

Rooms are very comfortable and clean! And food was delicious! Got room service both nights.

The rooms were clean and well-kept. The bay window was a unique design and added to the aesthetic. Wonderful service from all of the hotel staff, and they were all very friendly. I will definitely be staying again when returning to Cork.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed, the place is beautiful, room was nice and clean and the staff were the real stars, they were happy, friendly and very helpful whenever we needed it. The restaurant and bar was another excellent addition to our stay, food was divine and again , the staff were marvellous.

Ideal location. Beautiful interior. Great food & staff . Underground parking. Lovely rooms. Our room this time was much smaller than last year.

From the moment of our first contact with Kevin and on arrival with a huge welcome back once again from Katie , our lovely same room allocated to us with the access to the evecutive lounge. We had both lunch and dinner in the cosy terrace looked after by very pleasant staff dining on a tasty menu compliments to the chefs . In the lounge bar outside sitting by the gas fire we were looked after by John the bartender who made us feel very welcome. Next morning breakfast always is such a delight here and of course Glenda adds to the experience - making sure we are at all times looked after with her friendly personal touch ! Thanks also to the Lovely French supervisor who always stops by to say hello . We were checked out by Denis with a friendly chat . Overall we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality hotel with beautiful surrounds, calm and relaxing vibes with wonderful staff in every department .Thank you all ..
