The Mayfair Townhouse – an Iconic Luxury Hotel

Staff were courteous but not friendly and guests treated very much as income producers. Very expensive at £600 per night but room was small and outlook very poor. On day 3 we returned to the room at 3.45pm to find that it still had not been made up even though checkins began at 3pm and we were forced to go for coffee until 4.30pm. No apology, merely a "we are busy". The doorman was rarely in evidence and other staff just watched us struggle with luggage. In essence a second rate hotel at first rate prices. Many nearby hotels offer much better value

It is located within walking distance to shopping, dining and site seeing tours. Room very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Gym is new (didn't have a choice to use it). The Dandy Bar was good as well.

I’ll start with the only criticism — our room was very small, even though it was billed as “Deluxe”. There was barely enough room for the king bed + two suitcases. On the other hand, the location is truly outstanding, the staff were great, and the room and bathroom were both beautifully done and very clean. The bed was perfect — very comfortable with very high quality linens. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again, but would try to arrange a larger room (how, I do not know).

Shops nearby. Clean room. Pack light.

All good. Value for the stay and it was quite and clean and nice little add touches.

The staff was great. The hotel is in an excellent location and everything was great.

Not a Five Star welcome no eye contact just told the room was not ready they would call or text me when it was which they did not do!
When they did give us the keys they did not say we needed to use them to get the lift going
On check out asked for a receipt and they said no it had to come from Expedia!

Really beautiful hotel. The room is small but nevertheless well appointed and very comfortable, and generally a great deal given the location and amenities. It was great for one person but might be a little cramped for two.

Great hotel in Mayfair. A must stay. Bartenders great. Doorman full of knowledge and smiles. Best pubs and restaurants around the corner. Will stay again soon.

Need attention to some health and safety

A wonderful small hotel experience in Mayfair on a quiet street just off Piccadilly. Well appointed room. Surprisingly good restaurant and bar. Great WiFi!

In many ways, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The location is perfect and the tastes are exactly to my liking.
The majority of my stay was in a very nice cabin room, but the first two nights were in an unsuitably small version. There is no way a five star hotel should have something that cramped. No space for luggage, nowhere to store it, and virtually no drawers for clothes. I appreciate it that they move me to a new room. Confirm you are in a suitable room when you book.
Also, the service was either very good or laggard, depending on how busy it was. The manager did say he would look into that and appreciated my feedback.
