I like how the staff were very professional to comfort my stay.
The 9th floor of the building didn't felt like it had AC on ...every time we would leave or come back to our room,it felt too warm. Also when we stayed at room 909 the AC was not working appropriately. Until I had to bring to front desk attention.
Everyone was nice and friendly
Everyth was perfect
More a in housecleaning was the best! Showed us rooms and indicated where it would be quiet. Lovely clean room, beautiful bathroom. Hotel lobby was very nice as was the pool and library room

I am a frequent traveler and a Marriott Titanium Elite member, so I base my hotel reviews on both brand standards and my personal experiences.
I stayed at the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel due to its proximity to John Wayne Airport and for business meetings in the area. The location is convenient and offers easy access to the airport, yet I experienced no aircraft noise during my stay.
The room itself was nice and comfortable, with a well-appointed layout and a very comfortable bed. Overall, the accommodations met expectations for the Renaissance brand.
As a Titanium Elite member, I was recognized at check-in, though I did not receive a room upgrade. There is no concierge or executive lounge at this property, which limits elite benefits. After asking, I was provided with breakfast vouchers; however, the restaurant does not open until 6:30 a.m., which was unfortunately too late for me to have breakfast and still leave for the office on time. For business travelers with early starts, this may be something to consider.
Overall, this is a solid and comfortable hotel near SNA with quiet rooms and a good location. While elite benefits were somewhat limited and breakfast timing was inconvenient for an early departure, I would consider staying here again when working in the area.
I recently stayed five nights at the Renaissance Newport Beach, where I have stayed many times before. Similar to my other stays, my stay was excellent. This hotel is approximately a 15-20 Uber drive to Newport Beach Pier. Across the street from the Renaissance is a 7-11, a Mediterranean Restaurant, and a sandwich shop.
Upon check in, Sara provided excellent service and met my accomodation request. My room was large, clean, and comfortable. I enjoyed the gym and pool during my stay as well as the breakfast buffet, where Luis and the entire staff provided great service. During this stay, I was required to extend my reservation for one night, and Sophia provided excellent assistance in accomoadating my request as well as resolving a billing issue. The service that I received from the entire staff should be commended.
I highly recommend the Renaissance Newport Beach. I look forward to my next stay.

I enjoyed the staff and their enthusiasm. Location was quiet and comfortable.
No complaints. Modern hotel with all amenities. Had a quick two night stay and liked the overall vibe of the place. I was upgraded and staff was courteous to recognize my Bonvoy status. The name is misleading as it is in the Newport Beach area but now where near the beach.
