Ottimi servizi, struttura pulita, elegante e con ogni comfort
All in all this is a pleasant hotel that does in terms of accommodation deliver an excellent value for money package. Rooms are very clean and functional if a little "worn" in the bathroom. Good hot shower and comfortable clean beds. Corridors sadly are quite musty smelling and would benefit from some form of de-humidifier.
Bar prices pretty steep and food and service at best average.
Good service from reception staff.
Hotel is in a reasonable position and very quiet a few local restaurants, hawker market and beer hall (sadly closed on Mondays) Still a 15-20 min ride from airport and 30+ mins to centre.
Good for one night stay either arriving from or departing to airport.
Service
Distance from Airport
The bedrooms are spacious, It’s very clean, the pools are really nice.
Nothing it’s a good place
Very nice area
It was perfect
Good budget hotel for an overnight near the airport
Due to a subway construction journey times from the airport to the hotel are much longer than usual. Took us 45 mins at 7pm
Quiet location, convenient for walking, local shops.
Swimming pools, very helpful staff
I’m the rooftop restaurant aircon too cold
Cafe don’t have decaf coffee
The shower over the bath caused water to flood on to the floor. Should make a long shower curtain & sort out that flooding the floor.
I liked the location. It was quiet, across the road and a short walk to beach park, and a short walk to Changi Village and great street food. The staff were great- very helpful and obliging. They willingly charged my mobile for me when I didn’t have a plug.
A little fresh milk for my tea.
Leaving.
Please note, this is a review of the managers of Village Hotel Changi and Booking.com, and not the workers in these organisations. I gave a zero score to everything to get noticed. I refuse to spend an hour of my life describing a detailed list of failures, but you will get the idea.
The only reason I used Booking.com at all was because I was unable to book directly online with Village Hotel (I can’t recall what the issue was). After making the booking, I received an email from Village Hotel (or so I thought), offering me to preregister online. However, the fine print down the bottom (which most people wouldn’t notice) states the email was actually sent by Booking.com. The second issue is you can only preregister using a mobile phone. What? I use a 32” computer monitor and you want me to stuff around navigating a website on a phone.
One of the first emails I received from Village Hotel was to ask me for my email address. That was a first for me. Emailing someone to ask them for their email address.
In the interest of time I won’t go into all the details of emails exchanged, but I asked for my booking to be escalated. I was sick of getting nowhere for the answers I sought. That didn’t happen. I also asked for further information about how I meet the taxi driver I prepaid for. That didn’t happen until I was already travelling. Too late. I never saw the messages until after I arrived. How was I to know they were going to send more information at such a late hour? Consequently, I never got the ride I arranged. I will be demanding to be reimbursed.
Another thing, I caught the shuttle bus back to the airport, but only just. No messages I received was I advised, or was it displayed, that you need to book a seat. The bus was full but thankfully they managed to squeeze me in.
This hotel is one of the closest to the airport, so business should be very good. So why can’t they repair the peeling ‘wallpaper’ of the inside door of the lift? Lack of funds? Is that due to customer
Lovely rooftop swimming pool. Very comfortable mattress, great after a long flight.
No choice of pillows and they were too hard for our preference.
A few more teabags and milks in the room would have been appreciated.
The pool was lovely and the location was great.
We were attracted to the property due to the curtesy shuttle bus. We arrived at 5.40pm after a long flight. We were waiting till 8.15 for the next bus. Bus was also full on return as there are not enough trips per day.
Location, airport shuttle and luggage store. Very large and comfortable bed. Big room with everything the traveller needs. Iron and a good size ironing board. Well located for buses to Changi Museum and for a short walk on the Changi beach.
Shower was difficult to get in and out of and difficult to operate the shower direction. The internal wardrobe light was permanent on, illuminating the room.
The staff were awesome.
The remote had flat batteries so I the tv couldn’t be turned off. The shower was cold
Nice hotel, lovely staff, great coffee and food place next door and a park and beach in walking distance. Great for one or two nights if you want to stay relatively close to the Changi Airport.
All was perfect
It was perfectly clean just the bathroom was a little outdated (unremovable stains f.e.)
